Last chance to get hold of Highbury seat or wall tile (6/3)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Last chance to get hold of Highbury seat or wall tile (6/3)

Post by gooner.ed »

usual thread starter... think the less said about this the better. but in financial terms, the club would have done better to have sold all their crested tiles at £20 a pop rather than just put 10 of them into the auction and made a couple of grand. there must have been over a thousand of them in various parts of the stadium.

and as for the seats. I am still miffed the club did not make the announcement about their non-availability until after the wigan game, they should have just let us take them if they couldn't sell them for legal reasons. a kind of 'bring your own spanner and screwdriver' open day once the new stadium was cleared for use. would have been great PR, but what do Arsenal know about that!

Don't wish to be a killjoy - particularly as I was fortunate enough to get a couple of seats and tiles etc - but AFC might decide to get tough if this continues. After all, football is 'a business' isn't it? Also, who knows, there may be some truth in the Cadmium story, though I prersonally don't believe. Maybe it's time to let go now?
