I think that there is a media witch hunt of Arsenal following the Eduardo incident against Celtic. Leaving aside whether or not it was a dive (I do not believe it was as I think the Celtic goal keeper just caught Eduardo with his trailing leg), there have been loads of players who have been guilty of diving in the past, usually against Arsenal and to their considerable advantage.
Remember Babel of Liverpool diving to earn Liverpool their crucial penalty against Arsenal in the Champions League Quarter Final in 2008 or Rooney diving for Man Utd against us to earn them the penalty that stopped our 49 match unbeaten record?
Where as the Eduardo incident surely had virtually no bearing on the eventual outcome of the tie overall in any case and was by no means as clear cut as those mentioned above either.
Now suddenly because it is an Arsenal player and because of all the fuss made in the media highlighting the Eduardo incident, UEFA now feel compelled to act and charge Eduardo and he may get suspended for anything up to 5 matches (if you belive the newspapers). 5 fucking matches?!!! Fucking hell he would only have got a yellow card if the referee had construed it as a dive during the match!!!
Another thing that really pisses me off is when Wenger, quite rightly, tries to stand up for Eduardo, he is accussed of whinging, arguing black is white and defending the indefencable etc etc etc. Well for fucks sake the way that Arsenal are unfairly dealt with by both the media and the football authorities means that he has justifiably got plenty to whinge about!!! In fact I personally do not believe that Wenger is demonstrative enough when fighting our corner against all of the injustices that we have to put up with.
Take the match at Old Trafford today. It was not a particularly dirty game yet Arsenal somehow managed to come away from the match with 6 yellow cards and their manager sent off! The only surprise was that Eduardo was not just simply shown a red card by popular public opinion and for daring to enter the field of play when he came on as a substitute!!! Sagna for example was shown a yellow card for merely waving a hand in protest at a throw in given in favour of Man Utd when it was clearly an Arsenal throw in. Yet variuous assults on Arsenal players went unpunished.
The sending off of Wenger just about summed it up. He was obviously extremely frustrated as his team had just had an equaliser disallowed (was it offside? Gallas was clearly in an offside position but did he touch the ball?), his team had played absolutely brilliantly for an hour and played Man Utd of the pitch, yet they were very unlucky to be losing 2-1 and as usual had to contend with a referee that was obviously a Man Utd fan (either that or he was scared of Ferguson or else bribed by him!). So in his frustration he kicked a bottle that happended to be lying around on the ground in front of him which did not go anywhere near to hitting anybody. The fucking officious *word censored* of a referee then decided to humiliate Wenger by sending him to stand in amongst the scum bags in the Old Trafford crowd who think it is amusing to call him a paedophile. This particular chant is in my opinion the most disgusting and offensive chant that I have ever heard directed at anybody at a football match and anybody partaking in it should thoroughly ashamed of themselves. Anybody with a modicum of intelligence will appreciate the irony of this intelligant and studious man being insulted by a bunch of morons who look as though cannot even begin to comprehend or understand somebody with more intelligence then they could muster between the lot of them.
As Wenger said in his interview it is just to be expected when you play at Old Trafford that you will have to endure this kind of treatment which will always leave you feeling so FUCKING ANGRY AND FRUSTRATED!!!!!!
By the way one other thing that useless goalkeeper has got to go if we are to win anything this year. He was at fault for both goals even though the second one was an own goal he should have come out to claim it as it was in the six yard box and the first one he should have stayed in his bloody goal as Gallas and Vermaelon had Rooney covered. He has also been at fault for at least two out of the other three goals conceded so far this season. Remember the Portsmouth goal where he jumped about half an hour too late?!
The rest of the team though are playing well especially Gallas and Vermaelon at the back. Although we need to stop conceding such soft goals like today!
A Media Witch Hunt
Swear the ban is only meant for 2 games and some of what Wenger said struck me as not particularly wise at the time, we will see
a booking for a dive by Eboue, a booking for a professional foul by Song, booking for Gallas for same thing, booking for Sagna for losing it and shouting whatever he shouted, Almunia for a foul on Rooney for penalty I forget what the other one was. I also recall Man U having 5 yellows I believe? It was not a particularly dirty game yet Arsenal somehow managed to come away from the match with 6 yellow cards and their manager sent off!
He challenged the defender trying to head clear and made it difficult for said defender, he interfered with play(was it offside? Gallas was clearly in an offside position but did he touch the ball?)

yea, Gallas was clearly involved in the offside goal. Let's not stretch to whining about obvious stuff, try www.RAWK.com for that kinda shit.

Are you actually Arsenal fans Magic Hat and remi f*ckin garde? Thank you for sticking up for me Cockerill's chin!
The point is Magic Hat that maybe Man Utd had 5 bookings and Arsenal 6 but it should have been more like 7 or 8 for Man Utd and maybe 3 or 4 max for Arsenal. I hardly think that Sagna "lost it" as you suggest! If he did then every player must "lose it" several times a game judging by your criteria!
Another thing about the game today was that I think that the media witch hunt regarding the Eduardo incident led to "leftovers" from the match officials meaning that they were unwilling to give Arsenal any decisions whatsoever. When Arshavin was assaulted by Fletcher there was no penalty given (well he must have been cheating as he plays for Arsenal) not to mention a booking for Fletcher.
When playing at Old Trafford, bearing in mind the manner in which they get all the decsions anyway, this means that Arsenal would have to play about 3 times as well as Man Utd in order to beat them! Then their fans have the cheek to chant "same old Arsenal always cheating". If anybody is guilty of gamesmanship it is them and their *word censored* of a manager! With this kind of advantage and headstart it is no wonder that they win the league for three years in a row with such an ordinary side (Ronaldo excluded).

Agreed donaldo the defeat was certainly self inflicted, which makes it all the the more frustrating, although I do not think that the selection of Eboue had anything to do with it (the selction of Almunia maybe!).
Generally I think that the criticism of Eboue is way over the top and does not reflect well on Arsenal fans. He may not be the best player ever to play for Arsenal but he is certainly not the worst. To be fair to him he is either a right back, and I think fairly competant when playing there, or a squad player and asking him to play as one of an attacking three is simply playing him out of position (Almunia does not have that excuse!). This is the sort of thing that can make the difference in the really big matches. You might get away with it at home to Celtic but at Old Trafford it is a different story.
The dive was a pretty stupid thing to do given the events of the past week but I think it is very easy to criticise something like that when viewing the slow motion replay but in reality these things happen at 90 miles an hour and there is not always the time to think a great deal before "acting"! He was probably anticipating a challenge that never arrived. Like I said he was playing out of position! The managers fault not his!
