Is Fabianski the Polish number one now?
I don't know if he's overtaken Boruc yet, but surely he will.
As you say rebel, if Fabianski is made the first choice next season, and he turns out to be good enough, then we won't need a new keeper.
Lehmann v Almunia
Great keepers come at different ages & it boils down to the person's mentality as oppossed to the age. Iker Cassilas of Real Madrid became a regular at 19 & he still continues to do well. Goal keeping is a confidence business......once a keeper gains confidence of his mates, you can be guaranteed of a good showing. Just look at how the little lad at Man City is improving game after game. As for Almunia, I am afraid to say, that no matter what he does, I'm not gonna be won over. I'd rather have Fabianski or Lehman than Alumunia.
good points,, fabianski has full caps for poland and he did cost a few bob,, aw must hav confidence in him,, in my humble opinion jens will go in jan and manuel will be num 2 after a couple of howlers,, i hope im wrong on that but i just dont see the blond one as num 1 at a top club who want to win thingsZimgooner wrote:Great keepers come at different ages & it boils down to the person's mentality as oppossed to the age. Just a little update on this saga - watched jens last night and he played very well v ireland. He looked assured and commanding and made 2 great saves especially the one that he saved from carsley that was in the top corner. As i said before Jens No.1 for me and he looks to be returning to form t the right time for the upcoming big games
