The Importance Of David Dein (15/10)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

usual thread starter… does anyone seriously believe the Orangeman will turn up at Thursday’s AGM? Certainly not me.

David Dein

Great article which I totaly agree with.I used to be a big David Dein fan as I felt that it was him who had the vision to propel us forward.I`ve no doubt he is a passionate Arsenal fan but I think his ambition to run the club has clouded his judgement.Getting involved with Usmanov will,I`m afraid, end in tears.

Very good piece. Still, for all his efforts, maybe we shouldn't feel too sorry for him. He has made a nice little £75M of the back of Arsene's success. But you're right, he's yesterday's man, no longer needed. He should retire with dignity.
