As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Manchester United have branded a section of their fans 'disgusting' for their continued verbal abuse of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger - and want to stamp it out.
Wenger was subjected to an insulting chant urging him to sit down during Arsenal's 2-1 Barclays Premier League defeat at Old Trafford on Saturday
It is understood United chief executive David Gill is appalled by the treatment dished out to one of the most distinguished managers in the game. Gill is to attend a fans' forum next month - the club hold three per season - and will make the Wenger abuse a priority for discussion.
United had already decided to act before receiving a complaint from an Arsenal supporters' group.
United spokesman Philip Townsend said: 'We've gone on the record several times about this disgusting chant. We don't condone it and have appealed to fans in the past - through supporters' groups, the matchday programme and MUTV, but to no avail. There are many chants that opposing fans find objectionable, and this is certainly one to which all decent supporters should object.'
United are particularly embarrassed as it comes at a time when manager Sir Alex Ferguson is attempting to improve his relationship with his great rival.
Ferguson has previously condemned the chanting, saying: 'The police should be stepping in. There's enough to think about and admire in the game without resorting to denigrating people.'
If United are really that bothered, they'd start throwing people out for singing it. Better still, get our stewards to chuck them out when they come to the Grove.
give them some credit, at least they are trying unlike our club which is keeping its mouth well and truely shut at all times unless some one use's the **** word and then theres uproar

Pls tke time to read what Becks has to say - from wrighty7:
I always thought that Beckham was a class act and my opinion of him has risen even higher after his comments about Eduardo. 'There has been far too much talk about diving,' 'No-one wants to see it and it is disappointing when it happens. But it happens every week and Eduardo is not the first person to have done it. 'The whole thing should be put to bed.' 'Eduardo is a great player. It is not that long ago that he suffered an horrific injury. 'You don't know what was going through his mind. He might have been trying to get out of the way of a tackle so he didn't get injured again.' Beckham has taken a lot of stick in the past and I've no doubt that he will receive more in the future but nobody can deny that he is a great ambassador for England and football. People like Rooney and Terry could learn a lot from Beckham. The pair sat in front of the English media and spoke so much bull it was unbelievable. I pissed my pants at the hypocrisy of Terry and I cried real tears at Wayne Rooney's attempts to talk down his diving in the past. Yes, Eduardo went down easy! But hasn't Rooney gone down easily TWICE in the space of a week? I must be bloody blind if he aint! Beckham has spoke the truth and I praise him for what he has had to say on the situation. He may not be everyone's cup of tea but he is the first English player to come out with something that is very true. Not like a certain Mr Terry or a Mr Rooney. The story should be put to bed. If it isn't then Wayne Rooney's diving should get the same coverage. Shamefully it won't be.
