i have no idea what the offending avatar(s?) looked like, but obviously offensive enough for a moderator to step in.
general guide for everyone is that they should imagine showing the forum to their missus or mum. and if there's an avatar you are thinking of that that would make you think twice about your missus or mum seeing, then don't use it.
bouncing boobs i can live with, but there are some users who have trouble even with those. what we cannot allow however is material that would be classified as obscenity in this country. it can be found in plenty of other places on the net if you want that, but there is no real requirement for it here.
same goes for anything else which would get you into a court of law in this country, such as racism and homophobia.
i don't want to get censorious, but at the same time we have to keep the forum as a place that everyone feels they can view without needing to hide the computer screen from other members of the household. it is a football forum after all. industrial language is part and parcel of that, but how often have you seen copulation in the stands of a football stadium? so think of it in that way as to what is and isn't acceptable.
sermon over. let's move on
dodgy avatars

Have to agree. It was funny, butt getting dodgy quite quickly...
I was telling her indoors how the Gooner Forum had set in motion an international search and rescue effort for me
and showed her a few of the posts. And then up pops the old "drill bit in the mountains" avatar and all my credibility in chez DB10 went up in smoke...
