As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

And when we get there we will crap out bigtime...AGAIN!.
Just watch how many of our bigtime charlies pull out of friendlies
leading up to the finals.
Get a grip gnuey, just cos you support a team with all foreign players and the media has has a pop at them you can't just get carried away with all the hype about our country being shite
Get a grip lads wtf

If I was going to get on my moral high horse, would I really support a club that had Henry Norris as chairman? England is more then about 11 players who I don't particularly hate myself, it is about a country
I was furious when that goal went in, Eduardo should never have been given a free header then allowed to tap home after Green makes a double save. Yet more sloppy defending by England or rather, JT
I fail to understand the mentality of anyone who wants to see their own national team do badly and the reasoning behind it is just plane f*cking stupid..
We have at Arsenal a team full of foriegners who have little affinity to the club in reality and will come to the club and leave it as it suits them...i'm certainly not going to hope Croatia or any other country do well against England just because they happen to have a player thats played for my club for a couple of seasons.
All top level players now earn ridiculous money... they all think they are gods gift..it's not just the England players.. so to use that as an excuse for going against your own national team is just a nonsense..some of our players are as big time charlie as anyone....am i going to stop supporting them because of it..nah.. because i'm an Arsenal fan not an Rvp fan not an Eddie fan not a Wenger fan an Arsenal fan and the same goes for England, i don't care what clubs England players play for i don't care how much money they get all i care about is that the manager picks the best players and we do well.
Players come and go but i'll always be Arsenal and even more so i'll always be English..i don't look for petty little reasons to change that when it suits me..
...
I'm proud of my country. Because I'm proud of the majority of the people in it. I'm not proud of the people in the English football team on the whole.
What I don't buy into is the mindless ra-ra Nationalism that surrounds the English football team in a way that doesn't surround any other sport in the UK, IMO. I'm also a fan of other sports and there would be no better way to kill them off than for England to win the World Cup.
If that all makes me unpatriotic, I really don't care, because I don't think there's anything wrong with being so.
I was at Wembley on Wednesday and loved seeing us get to the World Cup. Does Eduardo deserve to be booed? Not especially- he went down easily in the box once. Many players do this, many much more often than Eduardo. Still, it was in the news and was always going to happen. If the england fans think it might put the lad off then, since he was their most dangerous player, of course they will give him some abuse. I didn't really see any problem with it tbh, the abuse was hardly vitriolic
As for cheering a goal against England, each to their own I suppose. I love seeing SAFC players representing their countries and always want them to do well because it reflects well on the club if we have international players performing to a high standard. I would never cheer them against my own country though. Maybe if someone who was Sunderland through and through (like, for instance Quinny) had been getting abuse and scored it would raise a smile and a "nice one Quinny lad", but very, very few players would this apply to.
The vast majority of premier league players are mercenary twats who dont really give a flying fuck about the team they play for and the fans they represent. Eduardo has hardly been at arsenal for long, there's nothing to suggest that he would think twice about joining chelsea or man utd if the money they offered him was right. I might be well wide of the mark, but i doubt eduardo particularly gives a shit about arsenal, just as i dont think that craig gordon/ lorik cana/ kenwyne jones particularly give a fuck about sunderland. They are, generally speaking, there for the money, so i dont get myself too involved in supporting them as individuals unless they prove great loyalty to the club, or are wearing the red and white stripes
