MAN CITY THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I just think that Clichy did not play well today. We cannot beat big teams brcause we lack that little bit extra you need in big games. Who for us looked like they were up for the game and chased every ball?

Sagna is a Very Good Defender - BUT, someone needs to show him how to cross the ball, or put it in the box - on the ground - rather than in the air...when we are outdone heightwise...

Eboue!? - Just Feck off and DIE!

Denilson - NOT and NEVER Will Be - Good Enough!

We need a player (the likes of flamini) to Protect Cesc...Cesc was trying to both defend, hold the mid-filed and pull the strings for going forward...
Cesc had so much put on his shoulders today - besides the captaincy - he was run ragged...

Almunia - NOT Good Enough - we've got £40 mill in tha bank - or at least we did have - before the board took their share... why didn't we get Given (Class) or even Robert Green...    :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Fabianski - Not even good enough for a number 2...

:banghead: :wailer: :banghead: :wailer: :banghead: :wailer: :banghead:

Adebayor's celebration simply demonstrates something we all already knew - he has NO CLASS...we can all call him all the names we like...but the bottom line is he is CLASSLESS. SCUM!? Yup, but CLASSLESS.And to cap it off he 'Intended' to stomp on RVP...clear as daylight - how the ref (who had a stinker) couldn't see it and red card him is unbelievable..
He can have no complaints if some person was to throw something at him when he comes to the grove - he will have brought it upon himslef...btw: I think RaM's idea of the CR*NT and a Gutter sound pretty good....

I really feel for all The Gooners travelling back from mancland tonight.....a long miserable and angry journey.....

May adebarnwhore have NIGHTMARES

5 shots on target 4 goals - I'm telling ya, the GK HAS to be looked at.

I wonder would Seaman come out of retirement?

Some of the personel that we currently have are just not good enough, when times get a bit rough, today was a game we would never have lost 4 seasons ago. Flakey is a good word for some of them...
 :banghead:

Thing is frank today we were not the better team :( It took us 57 minutes to force given into the 1st save of the game  Sometimes we might be able to use that excuse but not today mate.....we were 2nd best by some distance at least until rosicky came on anyway

Hmmm, Augie, you may be right my friend, (and I have had quite a few beers) but what did they do? until Alumunia headed their first into our net?

Perhaps, I need to see the game again, sober, because I bow to your undoubted knowledge.. :barscarf:

I don't think we were the better team at all today mate :( We lacked vision, creativity, pace, movement, leadership. Almost everybody looked pedestrian & our best player was the guy who hasn't played in the PL since Jan. 2008 :(

I would have to agree to that. Completely lethargic until Rosicky came onto the pitch. Even the, despite our slow performance before, the 1st goal should't have been. I used to delude myself into thinking that our keeper is fine as it is, but after today's game; heck I think even I can do a better job than him!

The next on my list is the fact that we were fired up after the equaliser, but a due penalty wasn't given to us for handball and the fact that Adebayor stomped (and after looking at the footage several times, I just don't see how is it accidental. It's deliberate in my book!) at RvP's face. Heck, he was bloody wounded for proof! I think everything went wrong from there onwards.

We lost because OUR players had to continue remaining professionally calm despite all that Adebayor has done. I would've said a good game by the lad tonight, but after the few incidents, including him stepping on our captain's ankle as well in addition to his goal celebration and RvP attack; he's completely lost ALL respect from me.

I am sad that our players shook his hand and it shows how much the players relate to the fans. Any player could see that he showed a lack of respect when he celebrated his goal and that the fans had been on his back all day and the Stamp on RVP.
