Adebayor you f£$K&ng c$nt

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

dont try that shit, earning 20 grand a year or 30 a year is different to earning 80 or 100 a week.

its different, i grant you, but if you were on 100k a week and another employer who you had no link to offered you 120k a week, you'd take the extra money aswell.
He's well off, but of course he still wants to make as much money as he can during his relatively short career

Lets be absolutely honest here, if the arsenal had wanted they could have refused the bid and matched what adebayor wanted, you didnt want to- fair enough, but you can hardly moan when he moves as a result. Your board need to back the club and wenger needs to start spending before other teams like man cuty get ahead of you. I think most AFC fans know this, its just worse when an outsider mentions it!
it is different, this mug insulted our intelligence when he returned in pre season and kissed the badge,i honestly believe more then anything that pissed people off,we aint a stupid bunch.

we made this guy,he would still be playing for some shit club in monaco if it wasnt for us

thats why we desrved loyalty

fair play, as i say i dont pretend to know the ins and outs of the situation- i just think people shouldnt criticise him for his celebration whilst coming up with as many anti adebayor songs as possible. i think we agree he is a classless twat though!

Sometimes an objective voice can useful.

safcftm, you're boys are gonna get killed in the match this year, we have DB10 this time. 8)
fair enough, as i say, i wouldnt post here if i didnt respect the arsenal and like their fans. Your lot come to sunderland and there is never any bother, i'd much rather see you win the league than any of the other "big 4". Also, as i say, adebayors stamp was a disgrace and i hope he is banned for it, but slagging the lad off then moaning when he celebrates is a bit OTT, you cant have a go at him then moan when he enjoys his goal
I agree mate look at the other thread with a clip of his stamp. That all on VP for me. In our friendly game this year in Feb if one of your boys flew in like that there would have been hell to pay. Personally I couldn't give a fuck if Adebayor scored or not. I'm completely indifferent right now to many things football. Today Adebayor did have a personal agenda running all that way and after all the support Wenger has given him in the press you would have thought he would have more respect for his former boss if nothing else.

But he's a chief.

It won't be long till City find out.
I can't love you as much as I hate the *word censored* Greedy :barscarf:

I'm confused as to why a Sunderland fan would be posting on an Arsenal forum.

Surely post on a Sunderland forum, or is that too obvious?

(And it was Fabregas who scored the last minute equaliser against S'land, it was a header from a corner).

He joined before you bruv, and as I said before we have good ties with the Sunderland guys, who knows we may need your pink boots at this years game.

I wasn't having a go, far from it. I have nothing against Sunderland, but assumed that on an Arsenal forum there would only be Arsenal fans.

I clearly made an ass out of u and me (sorry for that).

And I wasn't at that game, due to a low income I can only go to the games when I can afford to/when tickets become available for general sale. Not too often.

safcftm - what is the story with Roy O'Donovan? He was a big prospect in Ireland till he went to Wearside....come to think of it there must have been around 50 Irish senior, reserve and youth with the Rokers (can you still call youse that?) over the past 10 years.

fair play mate, no bother, as mentioned, i have nothing against the arsenal, my best mate is a gooner so, amongst other games, i went to watch arsenal away at roma, and loved being amongst your fans, we've always got on with AFC so i enjoy coming onto an AFC forum and chatting with other good fans

As mentioned i do post on an SAFC forum quite often, but like to drop in and see how arsenal are doing- if you look back at my past posts you will find i have never been disrespectful about the arsenal. I just felt like offering an alternative point of view, not about his indefensible stamp, just about his celebration

any one who gets to as many games as they can afford is a true fan as far as im concerned, so im sorry for questioning your support- i genuinely hope your lot go on to win the league and, as i have mentioned, i see no reason why you cant despite this setback (although after watching them at sunderland, i feel chelsea might well have it in the bag)

he was a canny player but never quite turned it on during matches- quite quick, fairly skillful and quite direct, but i think playing in front of 40 odd thousand was a bit much for him. I hope he can go on and have a really good career elsewhere, a very good lad (unlike anthony stokes who you did well to get rid of!)

You didnt answer the question about the Rokers :D

One more quick point - people seemed to think it was Roy Keane who started bring the Irish lads there but I remember the likes of Charlie Hurley (prob you're best ever player?), Babb, the two Butler's (Thomas & Paul), Thornton, McAteer, Healy, Elliott, Joe Murphy, Alan Quinn, Richie Ryan, Rossiter etc etc way before he came......only got a mention over in Ireland when he got the job!

we were known as the Rokerites and still dont mind it- Roker is a 100% SAFC part of Sunderland and means more to us than "the black cats"

Yep, we've always had a lot of Irish lads, Hurley is probably our best ever (him and Shackleton who started his career at the arsenal http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Len_Shackleton are probably our best ever players)

Keane brought a lot of publicity to the irish lads at the club, but we've always had a lot of them, especially due to the fact there are a lot of irish people in sunderland. I think as long as quinny is with the club, there will always be an irish representation

PS talking about ireland, its about time the newly trim and fit andy redi got in your squad, he deserves it!
