ROSETINTERS COME OUT FROM YOUR HIDING PLACES

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If I was I'd say it like this

"You my son, are fucking fired." "Jog on." " Before I start to feel sexy."

Heroin?
Magic Mushrooms?

Take your pick. The last one comes highly recommended. 8)

bring back dein , yes i know we have only lost 2 games [ out of4 ] but the problems were just glossed over after the first 2 league games against not so good teams i will add, if dein was in charge you can be sure the first team would be the priority and not the boardroom

I've tried to argue the same point many times on here. You're wasting your time mate. Cue a long string of ill-informed responses saying what a wanker he was wanting us to move to Wembley (whilst ignoring a decade of commercial transformation of the club). Anyway it's much better to have our own identity and over £200m of debt on the balance sheet. Fuck all that ground sharing lark - look how damaging its been for Inter Milan

We are an angry lot arnt we

Was it a good peformance? - not really, and the annoying thing is what let us down was the defensive side of our game - which we have ALL highlighted as a week point. The worst bit was the Bellamy goal when Clichy (who was terrible) olst the ball, Diaby failed to bother trying to get back leaving Song exposed in the left back position as the only one who got his arse in gear to try and sort the situation out. That is where our problem lies.

To say "they dont care" is bollocks IMO, I think they do, they just played very poorly - but of the four games we have played well in 3 of them, and in parts yesterday - of course we need to improve, but I have seen enough to warrant my opinion that we wil have a good season, providing we knuckle down now and get results from our next few games (Wigan, Blackburn, West Ham Birmingam all in that run) so there is scope to get some momentum now.

Im very disapointed how the two away games in Manchester have gone, but I certainly dont think we are heading doom or anyting like that, its very early days, and going by the way this season is shaping up, its going to be a very open league this year.

Relax! We need to improve, so lets support the boys in doing that, we cant get anyone else in till January now regardless, so we have to support what we have - it was a poor result, we move on to the next one - there is a long way to go yet.

It may be early days but Chelsea and Man City are both already a net 6 points up the road.

Looking at the team sheets yesterday was terrifying. Fabregas, Gallas and Sagna were the only players I would have definitely taken above theirs, probably would have taken Clichy as well but would not have taken any of the others above their Man City counterparts (including him ).

We will improve once Nasri, Walcott and Rosicky are properly back but it still doesn't remove the fact that the spine of our team (Almunia, Gallas, Song, RVP) is for my money the weakest out of the top 6 including City and Spurs. Let's hope our creative men can make up for that because we won't make the top 4 otherwise.

i respect anyone's right to have there own opinion and post positive things on this forum but for fucks sake its about time some people took off the gooner tinted goggle and have a look at this team of ours . my god this is the worse arsenal team since 1994 or thereabouts and i for one am getting very pissed off with wenger and the poxy board of directors who are running our club,
why do we have to look at the likes of almunia, song, eboue, bentdner, dennilson walcott and a few others every fucking week, its just not good enough,
Make you 100% right there Reb. We got hoodwinked by a freak result at Everton, a win over a pub team from the spl and another win at home to a side who're hot favourites to be relegated. We all knew that Wneger was playing a very dangerous game by not strengthening a clearly not good enough side during the summer and now we're paying for it :banghead: We're 9 points behind Chelsea already, with a game in hand I know but that still has to be won. So it's another struggle to finish fourth then  :banghead:

We used to have players who would fight for every ball sometimes literally. To see Clichy jogging back lightly after losing the ball in a dangerous position makes me want to weep.

We were a top 6 side last season who capitalised on Villa'a small squad and Everton's numerous injuries. The competition for top 4 places is going to be harder as Citys' owners will throw more money at Hughes in January to attract even better palyers whilst we get giddy over a 21 year old from Rennes/Lens/Monaco, whatever.

If we are now a Europa league side from next season, then the board and AW should be honest and say we can no longer compete, because it will wind me up to hear we can still win the league if come November we are 12-15 points behind most likely Chelsea.

I am not even cheered up by the scum down the road being beaten by Manure today.
The top four will be Manure,Chelski,The Mousers and Citeh in any order. We will be fighting for 5th,6th and 7th with Everton,Vill and the Scum.

I am not happy about saying that but unless we do something drastic soon we might even struggle to make that group.

I didn't get carried away with our first results and I am not getting carried away now. It's a fact that we are just not good enough if we are missing even just one of the 4 players I mentioned we are mid-table. I know you could say the same about L'pool etc but at least they have fighters in the other teams, some of our players just do not have the bottle or do not care.

I hate what we are becoming....... SPINELESS :banghead:
I think coming out of this the issue is whether you think positively or negatively. I am of course very disappointed and upset – not to be would mean not being a true supporter.

But… then I turn and say, ok, where are the positives?

Rosicky is obviously one. Theo’s return, possibly in the Euro game is another. Arshavin after the Wigan game hopefully.

At the moment Eduardo clearly can’t play two games a week, and anyway is banned from wednesday’s game, so he’ll be rested and stronger come the league match next Saturday. Vela is supposedly only a few weeks away. After that Nasri…

And the fact is that the biggest worry of all is when a team does not defend well and when a team does not put together chances. Have both of those problems and it really gets tough – but we had chance after chance, and as I said in the previous piece, we were prior to today’s game at the top of the list of conversions.

It hurts desperately but as supporters we have the task of picking ourselves up to give the team a lift next week, and in my case (although I know I am a bit odd in this way) by shouting at the TV on Wednesday

With positives like that who needs negatives. The cure to our defensive frailties cured by the return of an Aaron Lennon impersonator
