Dublin Bars

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Yeah!
Head to area near to the airport, then head into the airport and ask for the first available flight. I'm sure you'll then find a decent pub! 8)

Obvioulsy, make sure you don't get an internal flight as you'll encounter the same problems. 8)

Stay away from the Dublin "ladies" would be my only advice.

Pure skangers, even DB10 wouldn't do em. :wink:

There used to be one in Moore street but it was a real shithole, with lots of local gangsters (proper gun carrying gangsters, not Deaje type schoolboy wannabes) and they finally closed it down after a couple of stabbings.

While Dublin is a relatively friendly and fun city it is also a city with some seriously dangerous areas in it. And unfortunately we do still have a minority of brainless yobs that "hate the English" in some areas. A minority, but they also tend to be the most dangerous crunts, unfortunately.

In the city centre avoid; Sherrif Street, Summerhill, Parnell Street and The Liberties area. Further out avoid; Tallaght, Clondalkin, Neilstown, Darndale, Dolphins Barn and Ballymun in general.

Finglas has a bad rep but is mostly ok, still I'd avoid the Scribblestown Lane area, which is known locally as "Murder Alley".

I work in Abbey Street Upper and they've opened a methadone clinic down the street so alot of junkies linger around here. It is also a main stop on the LUAS Tram route out to Tallaght so I'd avoid it after dark if you can, as it gets fairly tasty.

As far as where to drink; the southside/tourist areas are dear as fuck but tend to be safer with better looking women! Temple Bar is where most tourists and stag/hen parties go and there are some cool bars there. Here's a link;

Oh and avoid The George pub in South Great Georges Street!! It's a gay bar. Unless you are a bit Flash...? :lol: :wink:
