Liege v Arsenal

We still played badly but we shouldn't dismiss other sides in the CL so easily
Agreed - saw a couple of their players who looked like possible signings. Anyone think the guy who scored against us would be better than Diaby?

Richpye my grandmother, god rest her soul, would be 100 times better than diaby

Seriously people can we stop talking about liege like they are an upcoming ac milan or barcelona ? Referring their results with victims fc is the same as referring the scousers results v stoke last season and does not mean for 1 nano second that they are a good team. Again I will question how people can mock the scottish league and not the belgian league especially when you consider that the scots have had 2 teams play in european finals this decade and fcuk knows how long it is since the belgians have had any team in a european final

I think the display as rubbish but im not going to dwell on that as many pople on here keep banging on about how we need to play ugly to get the result - welll umm guys thats what we did last night..

not played ugly but a stroke of Divine intervention saved us... and im glad. yes we were two-bob for much of the game but we won.

Had Manchester United, Chelsea or Liverpool won in similar fashion then we would hear how about the grit shown and how much character they have. Hopefully we hear the same for Arsenal.

This team came from 2 goals down and won 3-2 and so-called supporters can only conclude we were “luckyâ€

Get used to it on here mate, i think some of the 'supporters' here are spurs fans in disgusie.

It was a great win and I can't wait to see Arshavin, Nasri, Rosicky, Walcott etc all back in the team.

What i will say is tho, Diaby, Bendtner, Eboue and possibly Song don't quite cut it at the highest level. Squad players at best.

Shall we all fuck off up the Seven Sisters Road then?

:blah:

Let's get this clear! The result was good, maybe even more so with the mountain we gave ourself to climb, but the actual performance was poor. I am not sure that any Arsenal player comes out o that game with any real credit.

Yes, we won and for that we are happy but the bigger picture is quite something else.

Can you see us clawing back a 2 goal lead against say Inter or maybe even a lesser side like Bayern?

Daft individual errors keep happening resulting in soft goals conceeded.

The summary is we won a game we were expected to win but we were forced to do it the hard way due to schollboy errors and a lacklustre performance.

Three points away in Europe, however they are acheived, should be regarded as a bonus though.

These two are considered first teamers by wenger and there is our problem!!.

I would be very happy to have song as back up to a world class DM but we dont nad song is our first choice.
