No chance of Northbank/Clockend areas!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

No chance of Northbank/Clockend areas!

Got this today from AISA:

FANS FORUM REPORT - TICKETING

The first meeting this season of the Fans Forum heard that there had been 1,900 non-renewals of lower and upper tier season tickets. There are now 35,000 Gold members, 25,000 Silver, 76,000 Red, and over 40,000 on the ST waiting list. Of 3,000 requests to relocate season tickets, only a small percentage could be fulfilled. After the Alkmaar away ticket problems, the Club have said that in future they will send emails to away-scheme members in advance of Euro away on sale dates. AISA has made several other specific proposals regarding the away-ticket scheme and is awaiting a response from the Club.

1,900 non-renewals of ST holders.

3,000 ST holders wanted to change seats (presumably many were wanting to get into noisy areas).

Only a small percentage "could be fulfilled".

For fucks sake!! Does our club want noisy support, or not!!!!????? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

1,900 non renewals, I find that figure hard to believe? Why were there people on here getting season ticket forms through and they were around the 10,000 mark. Is this more 'spin' from the club Kev? :?

what was the problem with the Alkmaar tickets (aside from the fact we only got 850)?

I guess lodes of people higher up in the queue didn't want to take up a ST...

I'd be more interested to hear how that 1,900 was split between the uppers and lowers.
I'm guessing the majority is in the heavens.

And again I'm guessing most of the 3000 wanting to move are currently in the uppers and want to sit in the lower tier.

If, as the club claim, there were only 1,900 non-renewals; and if it's true that people as low down as 10,000th on the waiting list were offered season tickets; and if the club's current S.T. waiting list really is still over 40,000, then I would surmise that Arsenal have left those that refused a season ticket for this season on their lists. :?

...or 10000 more fools....ooops I mean fans have joined the waiting list?!?
Still mega numbers when you think about it but if your theory's right IHH then the Board are clearly worried about the future levels of fan loyalty by not 'punishing' those who had the nerve to say 'How much? £1200 you say? Erm.....'

I was at the Fans Forum meeting, so a few answers to a few questions:

1. Alkmaar away - we got 850 tickets, they were put on sale to away scheme members for 3 hours, and the sale was announced with less than 48 hours notice on the website. So, a load of away scheme members missed out. Arsenal have agreed to email and warn them when they put euro away tickets on sale in future - and to try to give a little more than a day's notice.

2. They are still using the same ST waiting list numbers as they issued a while ago (when we moved ground I think). So, people as low as 10,000 have been offered season tickets, but a load of people higher up are still on the list. Most of these people refused a ST, because they hadn't budgeted to spend a grand with (again) a month's notice. So they are still on the list, in their original position.

3. The reason that very few requests to move ST were accomodated is that virtually all of the lower tier (especially between blocks 5 and 13) is season tickets already. They can't exactly turf people out of their seats, so when you get people requesting 2 seats together, behind the goal, not in the front 10 rows or so - there are just not empty seats like that.

Ah, and another thing....

Renaming of the quadrants is on the agenda for the club (as is bringing the Clock back inside the stadium). It could be that when the quadrants get renamed, they are divided up as "stands" rather than as they currently are. Its all going to be looked into later this season and over the summer.

Thats interesting goonerben.n5, as I was told if I didnt take up my ST offer then I would go to the bottom of the list........ :?

Maybe I should have called their bluff.......(although I'm glad I didnt - just need to pay for it now.....)

What, they haven't asked for the money yet? You obviously have friends in high places Basil! Mind you, judging from your Wigan pics it looks like your seat is on the bench!!

Tell me about it! I'm still paying off my STs from 2005-06. Got no option, I might have to resort to selling my body. Still, the £26.50 will come in handy..
