BEER CUP V WBA
Coquelin can still do much better. I think he started his first official game with Arsenal first team yesterday. He did well, but if he plays more, he can surprise a lot of people. I think he could be involved more in first team when Song will be at the ACN.
For me:
++ Sezny, Vela
+ the rest of the team
- Gilbert

Great game by the lads, must also point out the contributions by Senderos and Silvestre, they both had good games considering the lack of match practice, Gibbs looks like a great replacement for Clichy, Gibbs and Traore tied up the left hand side of the pitch and gave Westbrom a torrid time.
Unfortunately we had a lack of penetration up front until Carlos Vela came on and showed the youngsters how.
Maybe it could be pointed out that the game changed when Thomas got him self sent off for his stupid actions against Wilshire but I'm not so sure, I think the introduction of the three substitutes changed the game in our favour.
Mark Randell played surprised me, I've never seen him play that well before I never thought he had it in him, a great chip from around twenty-five yards by Randell which came back of the bar and then walked into the net by the star of the show Vela.
Nacer Bazerite this boy is a great player in the making, he reminds me of the great Robert Pires, I just hope he gets the opportunity at the club, unfortunately we have so many players who have the potential to become great players maybe even world class in some cases but we can’t keep them all!
The Westbrom game was just what was required for the lads it bought them up to speed and now can go foreword in this competition without fear knowing that they put out the team at the top of the championship.

From the same IP as ramon and the rest of ramon's "personalities".sycicsid wrote:Great game by the lads, must also point out the contributions by Senderos and Silvestre, they both had good games considering the lack of match practice, Gibbs looks like a great replacement for Clichy, Gibbs and Traore tied up the left hand side of the pitch and gave Westbrom a torrid time.

Went to the game last night.
Can't believe the pathetic slant being put on the sending off by the press... Jerome Thomas is an absolute mug and Di Matteo is an even bigger mug for trying to defend him.
Watt and Sunu didn't look great to me..
Vela changed the game when he came on.
Randall looks to have improved a lot. Not gonna get caught up on the chip. His all round game seems to have improved so fair play to him.
Sczezny should be our third choice... much better than Mannone.
Big Phil done well!
Gibbs class...
Ramsey, struggled at times but definitely he has got enough to make it.
Wilshere is a legend in the making... simple as... judging on the way West Brom tried to play him last night his reputation is definitely preceding him now... Think wenger is doing the right thing as I can see him getting a serious injury by one of these shitkicking centre halves... but still like everyone would love to see him playing a bit more.
All in all a positive night!!

Actually, this could be a good game. "Find the original post"

Sczezny, had some very good saves, got the ball into play quickly with some very good throws and looked quite good overall. Only thing that makes me hesitate about him is the way he miss judged a couple of crosses. A keeper who can make great saves but doesn't command the penalty area is not for Premier League...yes, I'm talking about you too Manuel!
Gilbert, looked better when I last saw him 4 years ago...but I guess he was a part of a better team then.
Silvestre & Senderos..this is the level they should be playing at..Championship.
Gibbs, Looked ok.
Coquelin, Very impressed. Hopefully he can push Song out of the first team sooner rather than later.
Ramsey, Too careless with the ball at times but played much better in the second half.
Wilshere, Not his best game but anyone can see what a special player he is. How many other players at the Arsenal bring you to the edge of your seat everytime he gets the ball?
Sunu, Not gonna slaugther a player making his debut but could see straight away he's not made for this level....then again, I said the same (and still say) about Song.
Traore, Eboue in disguise?
Watts, Worked hard and scored a goal but looked way more out of place than Lupoli, Quincy, BEntly etc did when they were playing in the league cup.
