WAYNO,
BIT HARSH ON YOUNG BEN-GOONER 14, WEREN'T YOU MATEY?
I DIDN'T SEE ANY HARM IN HIM ASKING WHAT MATT LUCAS AND THAT OTHER GUY WERE DOING THERE. ONCE INFORMED THAT LUCAS WAS A GOONER, HE ASKED - ALBEIT IN A COMICAL WAY - WHY DAVID WHATSHISFACE WAS ALSO THERE.
FAIR PLAY TO YOU ON CALMING DOWN QUICKLY WHEN YOU REALISED YOUNG BEN DIDN'T MEAN ANY HARM, BUT I FEEL YOU WENT OFF AT HIM A BIT TOO AGGRESSIVELY IN THE FIRST PLACE WHEN THERE REALLY WASN'T A NEED TO - A GENTLE EXPLAINATION WOULD HAVE SUFFICED.
THE THING IS, A REBUKE OF THAT KIND WAS VERY MUCH AGAINST YOUR NATURE (OR THAT WHICH YOU HAVE DISPLAYED ON THE FORUM THUS FAR, ANYWAY)
AND THINK OF THE AFFECT IT COULD HAVE HAD ON SUCH A YOUNG AND STILL DEVELOPING MIND - AND YOUNG BEN AS WELL!!
DON'T WORRY THOUGH, YOUNG BEN-GOONER14 IS A QUICK LEARNER AND I'M SURE HE WON'T BE MAKING THAT KIND OF MISTAKE AGAIN IN A HURRY!!

Yep, I've read it Ben. Nothing about Denton in there as far as I remember but it does have a chapter about 60s/70s terrace culture. It's a good read, one of the better football related books I've read. It gives a really good insight into how that bunch of twats up the road were so put out when we moved to Highbury as wellBen-gooner14 wrote:Has anyone read Highbury the story of arsenal in the n.5, if so does it have any recollections of him in there as this is what im currently reading.

thats a great read ben-15
tells you more truthful stories then the shite the offical club publications would put out,,,
the thing about the hooligans is that unlike other clubs the arsenal herd decided not to go to print,, but if you ever get the chance then read
STEAMIN IN BY COLIN WARD,,,,
lots of arsenal stories in that

It was a excellent service despite me freezing me feet off on the hard ground outside the church but a great send off for one of the best
Supporters all payed there respects today but most asking themselves who he was, he was the top boy & even the story of the crash was what i overheard
I'm not 100% after haveing two long days includeing Friday at Ally Pally where i had a good few to drink but it rocked otherwise
R.I.P
