What a week!

Three very enjoyable games, Fulham, Olympiacos and Blackburn.

Last season I think a couple of these games would have gone pear shaped.

6 top quality goals today. Unfortunatley we reverted to comedy defending a couple of times but it didn't affect the happy outcome.

Really good entertainment - quality of passing in the final third was superb today.....BUT

We were playing against a team who had 4 full backs in their defence today and it showed....AND

At times our defending was bloody awful.

And to those who thought Mannone did well....really ? Would you have said the same if Almunia had let in their first goal. I thought his positioning was terrible.

Still happy days - going to have a beer now and listen to the Scousers "hard core" fans from Guildford and Tonbridge Wells phoning in to TalkSport to demand Benitez's head and that the owners cough up £200m for the final piece of their jigsaw :D :D :D

First goal was disappointing on his hand but considering he has kept 3 cleansheets and is only 21 then went on to make two fine stops, I'll let him off. I thought he did ok, no more then that

Agreed - he hasn't made any real howlers yet but neither is he the answer to the goalkeeping issue.

Hopefully Mannone will learn from that first goal. He shoud have come out for the ball and cleaned up which he then went onto to do when the next long kick from Robinson came into the box.

Six goals, dodgy defending at times but some lovely footie. One of these days we will get 10 against someone!

Cesc had a 10/10 performance, whilst Rosicky looks fantastic considering how long he's been out! 8)

We looked dangerous with every attack, and 6 different goalscorers tells it's own story.

Defensively...

Shocking, as usual  Over the summer, Wenger highlighted that our defensive record needed to improve, whilst pointing out that the 37 goals we conceded last season was the main reason we didn't win the league. Yet, this season we've already conceded 10 league goals in only 7 games! :? - you cannot expect to win trophies with such a slack, lazy defensive attitude, and it worries me that it keeps happening.

Anyway, great result! - and with Liverpool, Sp*rs and ManUre dropping points, it's been a pretty good weekend!! 8)
our attack will be our defence - just like real m

Ramon, instead of copy and paste just post a little comment like that and we will appreciate you. Me and C jnr were talking on the way out of the ground that we might be the first team to win a major trophy without worrying about defending!!

We are the highest scoring team in the league and one of our centre backs is the top scorer. :? :? :?

Yep that sums it up.

Whilst Blackburn were no great shakes defensively neither were/are we. And in Manchester when we needed to show up - we didn't.

And I still insist one injury to either Gallas or Vermillion particulary at the turn of the year when Song is away, will have us skewered ! :x :x :x

Yes, agree with the above Eboue, he will learn from the 1st goal, and all the goals we scored today were all superb.

I think I'm going to get the DVD of today's game, it'll be like watching a porn flick (if you get my drift)
