I think it was me...digger wrote:Careful, someone was given a bollocking for saying that on here, it's not nice to wish death on people.franksav63 wrote:I hope he dies
I hope he gets run over by a bus and spends the next 40 years in intensive care in excruciating pain. In Togo.
And I seriously can't believe he thinks the board forced him out. The fans forced him out, clearly. And I think we did a fucking good job too

Oh, and I didn't wish, I just hoped...

I actually believe Ade
HOWEVER, I think something was lost in translation slightly.
A few weeks ago, Wenger openly admitted that he had £30m to spend, and that he chose to only spend £10m of that, because he felt our squad was strong enough.
Now, considering we got £40m for Ade & Toure, and only £30m made it's way to Wenger's transfer kitty, that would mean the board had pocketed £10m for themselves!
Therefore, having spent money on Vermaelen, is it not possible that Wenger/the board wanted (or needed) to balance the books, and hence felt selling Ade was the best option?
Seems plausible to me, and would mean that neither Wenger or Ade were lying, as such... they just explained it in different ways.

Wenger says to Barndoor "We are desperate for money. We would hate to see you leave because, clearly, you are the best player in the world. Ever. You are a god. And can do no wrong. Please will you consider helping us out of our financial pickle. Go to Man City. Double your highly deserved massive wages."
(thinks....for fuck's sake fuck off, you lazy fucker with an ego the size of a planet!!!)
Barndoor...."This is a massive sacrifice you ask me to make. My club and my fans will be lost without me. How soon can I go?"
