The return of the Clock End – part two

Clock End

Post by Wildie »

When we moved over to the Emirates alot of the Clock End season ticket holders were relocated to the North End of the Stadium. I fully appreciate that the Clock End is remembered as being at the South end of Highbury but i would be disapointed if they moved it above the Family Enclosure. Thats not what the Clock End was about, all families sitting there clapping and having picnics whilst watching the football. We were the noise at Highbury, We were what away fans/players got intimidated by at Highbury. Put it at the North End where you still hear every game the chant of "Riders of the Knight" and maybe we might start to get a few away teams being intimidated coming to our place again.

Does anyone else on here remember when the clock was brought back after the redevelopment of the clock end, end at Highbury ?

A great and loud reception was received for it.

I loved Highbury!!!

Perhaps now the song should be 'we're the clock end, Ashburton'?

yeah there's a few old faces I recognise in block 9 from the clock end, also bumped into a couple of fellas who use to sit behind me in the clock end the other day ! In the Bank Of Friendship...one of them didn't recognise me till his mate reminded him of the nickname they had for me..."don't you remember, Frank Lampard"....FRANK LAMPARD !! I ain't that fat and don't look like that c*nt ! Maybe it was the dodgy curtains in the mid 90's........
