At the time I thought it was a perfectly good challenge but watching it again he definitely follows through with his left leg to take Walcott out after winning the ball with his right. Was a definite foul but I’m still not sure it was that bad a challenge though & tbh it was his right leg (the one that won the ball) that did the damage to Theo’s knee. And it’s not as though the sweeping with the left leg made the contact worse by putting more of Walcott’s weight on his standing leg cos from the reverse angle his right foot isn’t planted at the point of impact.

Let’s be honest if TV5 makes the exact same tackle on Keane in 2 weeks we’ll all be raving about it. And if Song does it Swale will have a stroke. Or three. And if Diaby does it the world really is coming to an end.
