AZ ALKMARR (WELL DONE EBOUE)

Post by kentgooner »

I'll be honest i'm not Eboue's biggest fan and yes i did boo the lad against Wigan but since then he's got his head down and turned himself around but still has alot to prove but last night he did himself no harm at all by being the only player that actually gave a flying fuck that we had bothered to take a few days off work, spend our hard earned money and stand in the freezing cold to watch our favourite team! Fabregas was bang out of order for just walking off so i guess the players just followed suit! Mr Wenger should be telling those boys to get back out on that pitch and give us mugs some acknowledgment at least. Fair play Eboue i'll give you that just keep it up. Fabregas?? Does he want to play for us or not? Body langauge seems to me that he's had enough doesn't seem intrested and his distribution has been shocking of late, come on Fab where has the player we all know and love gone? Diaby the new Viera? My Arse! Enjoyed the Arshavin darts theme song so not all bad.

fabregas: 10 games - 5 goals - 11 assists, aslong as he is scoring and setting goals up then he can show whatever body language he wants in my opinion

I think the players should make the effort to applaud the fans after an away match, especially with European aways when people sacrifice a lot of money/holiday/time to support the team.

I think we have excellent away fans - plenty of noise and passion shown for the team. Maybe the players could do the same at times!!

Its down to Cesc as Captain and Wenger as manager to make sure the players go to the away fans after a game and if this was not done last night then thats a pretty poor show in my opinion.

I cant stand Manu U and SAF but having just watched the end of their game tonight i'm pretty sure fergie was sending all his players to their fans after the game.

Eboue's really improved.

Sure, he still dives, which pisses me off no end, but his performances have really improved, he's good for team spirit, and the guy CARES.

As for Cesc, he doesn't seem to be as good as he has been, dunno if it means he wants to leave but ATM I think he is not as good as he thinks he is.

Derry - how about the Broncos?

I agree that the players should always acknowledge the fans especially in away games no matter what happened on the pitch . However you are dead wrong regarding Cesc's body language and desire . His reaction at the end of the game was like that of a true fan , he seemed gutted that we conceded in the last minute and was probably angry at himself and the rest of the team for not having wrapped up the game earlier on and then conceding at the death due to a defensive lapse .

p.s. on a slightly unrelated note does anyone know what the record for assists in a season is , i'm certain Cesc will shatter it :barscarf: [/code]

I thought exactly the same about Cesc walking off the other night, but didn't want to get accused of Cesc-bashing....

It was probably annoying for the players to have pretty much dominated the game and end up drawing 1-1 so late, but the same goes for the fans that paid good money to go over there. All the players should be acknowledging the fans for making the trip, no matter how the game went.

To be honest lads, I don't know what the fuss is about players ackowledging the crowd at the end. For me, I couldn't care less and as long as they show it during the 90 minutes.

because when youve traveled hundreds of miles, spent money you cant afford to spend, taken time off work ...sung throughout the match
you want the players you have done that for to show you some appreciaton!!!!!!

....also eboue has always been the best in the current squad for acknowledging the fans
