Sunderland Away

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

For those travelling up who havent been before, basically just go into the town centre and find a pub- plenty have strippers and the likes on and there arent any pubs where you'll get any bother for supporting the arsenal, the two sets of fans have tended to get on in recent years so, as long as you're not a complete twat, you'll have a good time!

hopefully a good number of your lot make the trip and we can get a good atmosphere going- looking forward to it (although if you win my mate will be unbearable for months, by which time we'll have to go to the emirates  )
Thats uncanny, one of my best mate is a macum and i have been to the stadium of light a few times with the chester-le-street sunderland supporters club. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Was having a good chat with some Sunderland supporters before the 0-0 draw at home last season. They seemed like good lads...mind you, I couldnt understand a bloody word they were saying!

does anybody have an idea how much it will cost to go up there on the coach?
And do you need to be a member of the travel club?

Well Man U was 35 quid and wolves is 20 quid. You dont have to be a member of the club but if you are (even a red or silver) its cheaper

All booked up for the game now. We better fookin win as well seeing as its gonna be a stupidly long coach trip on my lonesome.

Anyone got any idea how long the coach takes (from the Kingsferry pick up in Kent)? And how easy it ease to use r:e pick up and drop off at the Sunderland end?

I have this awful feeling that Cana will escape without a booking at home to West Ham on Saturday but will get booked at White Hart Lane, leading to suspension. If we are without him and Cattermole (who is out until January) when we play you lot then back the arsenal win (and overs!).

Can't wait for the game like, I'm sat with my mate the gooner and when our teams play each other its a bit like a cup final

We'll be out all night on the Saturday like but I can promise that whatever the result I'll be on here at some point on the Sunday to give opinions on the match.

Obviously if anyone needs any Sunderland related advice, feel free to ask, I'll be on periodically before the match (cue loads of piss taking questions  )

 and so it starts. He may well be. And, whilst we're at it:

Yes, our women are, for the most part, as easy as Spurs at home

No, you dont need a Whippet to gain entry to the city and

Yes, it is actually a city, even though its centre is as small as fuck

 oh good, if we keep jones fit we might win the occasional ball in your box, that'll be canny!

Oh aye, and if any of the lads who were at that restaurant at the Roma v Arsenal game last season are on here, I was the random lad in a sunderland strip that convinced them to sell alcohol- I'm still owed a few pints off those buggers, so dont be shy in introducing yourselves up in sunderland

there is an industrial estate a couple of miles from the ground. They run a free park and rus to and from the ground, found that pretty useful myself in the past!!

Anyone got their tickets sent out yet??
