Eduardo

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Give him a couple of months, and I think he will begin to play better and score goals. I really hope so, because we need more than two good strikers.

Eduardo is the top scorer in his qualifying group for euro '98 finals so we all know he can find the goal.

I just have so much faith in this lad that I too may have to share the word eating feast if Eduardo becomes Beast MK2

I think there is alot more to come from eduardo than we've seen.
He was quite pony yesterday but i was reading the article in the programme about denilson and apparently Eddy can only speak to 3 players due to the language barrier. This must make playing football very very difficult for the chap.
But this makes me wonder weather this sort of thing should be looked at before signing the player, Im not questioning le Boss but maybe eduardo should spend sometime in the reserves while he learns the lingo (When our RVP, Ade and Bendtnar are fit)
I think Bendtnars more than capable of playing in the first team.

if that was such a big issue, players would never work in foreign leagues. Just how much local lingo do you need to shout/indicate where/when you want the ball etc? He'll be fine with the lingo and hopefully the best of him is yet to come - against the scousers and utd!

I think Eduardo will shine for us in the Champs League and hopefully that will help him get used to the Prem for next season, i would be happy for him to hit double figures but i wouldn't worry if he didn't this season, as long as others are scoring

No idea dude. This site has just become rife with bitchy comments recently. Not good.

As regards my one just now, to put it simply, I tried the nicely, nicely approach with Smoothie. When that didn't work, I tried actually having a logical conversation about it, but but alas, that was never going to happen. I'm more than happy to just leave it, but I take exception to hypocritical, illogical and just plan incorrect statements made in my direction.

As I'm sure most of you are aware, I love the banter on this site, but at the same time, I love having decent conversations about things, too. I really do not mind admitting I am wrong either, but my patience is really, really running out with Smoothie and his continuous sniping and this fucking ridiculous mud slinging.

So I will stop it. I don't even mind Smoothie talking shit, because lord knows I do it enough. I will, however, continue to call him on it if it is needlessly aimed in my direction, like one of his previous posts was.

I pick the one in the top right. Smoothie, en garde!

Well said TS

I have had disagreements with follow Gooners especially over David Dein and of course The Wonder of You but i respect their opinion. This is what this forum is all about to have constructive debate as well as having a good laugh without stooping to petty insults

I think we need a bit of patience with Dudu. He has certainly found the league games harder than CL games. This is partly due to the more physical appraoch which Premiership defenders take. it also should be noted that he hasn't had a run of games in the side, meaning that he hasn't yet been able to build a partnership with his strike partner.

One thing that did concern me was that on Saturday on occasion he and Ade were trying to win the same header. Dudu really should've been getting into position for the knock down, as he won't be winning much in the air.

Hello Juan

Your right about building partnerships - it's certainly vital for strikers to work well together.

Regarding Eduardo's positioning, I think that as AW has said he fancies himself in the air to win headers and probably is so keen to make things happen.
