THE NORMAN WISDOM MEMORIAL FILM THREAD

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

My favorite was Pirate Bay until my provider Eorcom.net decided it should be barred . Amazing that they will allow you to visit every sick porn site that is out there but will not let you download a cartoon :banghead:

Rightly so movie thief! You and your son should be ashamed of yourselves, Barry - robbing pennies out of the pockets of all those poor millionaire hollywood directors... shame on you...

Twilight - awful. A one-dimensional, one-paced, 2 hour bore  if you're going to make a film with such a lack of action or entertainment, then you better make sure the script is very good, and the characters interesting.... this had not of that, either :?

It tediously plodded along for an hour and a half as the "romance" grew (although, there was little emotion... how could there be when neither character showed any charisma, nor smiled, laughed or spoke in anything other than monotone?! ) and then towards the end they threw in a random couple of bad guys (with pretty much no character development, so you had zero interest in them whatsoever) and then the movie ended in exactly the way you'd expect.

and to think they're making 2 sequels already  :?

Let The Right One In - this is what a romantic vampire movie should be like! superb :barscarf:

This movie was actually quite disturbing. It's only playing in about 100 theatres here in the States right now so I'm not sure if you'll be able to see it yet over there, but it was #5 on the box office so it's getting bigger and spreading via word of mouth.

All shot on a single cam and inside the home of a ~25 year old couple. See it with all the lights off, sound way up, and by yourself for utimate scare.

I´d say three stars out of five.

Best Scandinavian film EVER? - erm, you've obviously not seen any Swedish porn mate!!

There's a good director called Lukas Moodyson, and his films Lilya 4-Ever and Fucking Amal (not porn, sorry  ) are also pretty good! 8) - that said, Let The Right One In probably was the best I've seen.

Anyone seen the new Ricky Gervais film yet? Heard a review on the radio and they said it was disappointing. Can anyone confirm this or was the critic just being arty-farty?
