I really want us to win against 'Poll and Man u

Post by DanielD »

I know the game against Slavia is tommorow, but i have this huge desire to win in the next couple of games and to prove to the press, that we are the real deal, because they still don't see us as title contenders.

I think we can win both games. Liverpool aren't playing at their best and we already beaten them twice at anfield last season. We did the double on United and i think we are more than capable of beating them again, especially at the Grove.

Liverpool - our biggest test so far no doubt and time to show our new "steel and determination TM" can really make a difference when it is put to a serious test.

I can also almost guarantee that we will see Crouch playing on Sunday.

not sure about those scores...
I think we'll beat 'Pool, Man U is the 1st genuine test of our title credentials..We wont know till Christmas where we really stand, we've got loads of games over that period including **** and Chelsea at home and some tough away trips.

Liverpool could well depend on who plays. Liverpool will need Agger back and fit, if they are forced to play Hypia and Carragher then we will cause them all sorts of problems and they need Masch to nullify our midfield. Liverpool have dropped some points already and lacked a cutting edge but they haven't played as badly as people think, I want a point and will be delighted with a win.

Man U at home, they don't concede much but still not entirely convinced by their strike force, whoever scores first to win maybe. I think we need to play Jens and Gilberto for both of them if we are going to come out of it with 4 or more points

Slavia will be formidable but beatable and the Carling Cup is the Carling Cup

I very much doubt we will see Lehmamm in goal for Arsenal again. He was fit on saturday and Arsene chose to not even put him on the bench.I dont think Arsene took too kindly to Lehmann slagging off Almunia in the press

Then we will pay for it, Almunia will be found wanting against these two big teams

To be perfectly honest, I don't feel particularly assured with either of them between the sticks. As Gus would tell you, I'm pretty sure it's a confidence thing. I'm guessing Almunia's confidence is high, so maybe he should get the nod (I'm sure he actually will, by the way). But who knows.

Que sera, sera.

It's just a German thing donaldo - Seems like arrogance and rudeness to us. I would think AW would get this considering where he comes from.

And the last time AW dropped Lehmann for mistakes, he recalled him after Almunia started to become unreliable.

I hope I am wrong and that I can eat these words, but I feel that we will see Almunia's mistakes very soon, and as Magic Hat says, we will pay for it.
