We truly deserved the win out there against Spurs; Fabregas' run was spectacular to say the least and RvP gets better each time he steps onto the pitch this season. Song was great and did a fantastic job and the rest of the Arsenal were playing very, very well. Exception for Diaby where, I would have to agree that he gives away balls too easily and doesn't seem to contribute much (if any). He's still with the occasional "good" moments, but occasional just does't cut it in our football.

Diaby on the other hand is a different matter - the guy is absolute pants and it is impossible to justify his selection in the team right now. His passing was shambolic, his tackles were embarrassing and his efforts at times as he strolled around was a disgrace  It must be really disheartning for the likes of ramsey who cant get a game ahead of this clown and to the likes of rosicky and arshavin who are always subbed no matter how bad of a game he is having  Said it before and will say it again....wenger must be giving this guy games cos he is french cos other than that he aint contributing fcuk all

What about the goalkeeper?

I have to disagree with all those praising bedtner today - his touch, his passing and his vision and awareness were woeful today before he was subbed and cesc in particular was getting well pissed off at him and let him know it too.
Finally a word of praise for our entire back 4 who were excellent today.

PS FCUK YOU BENTLY YOU RAT FACED c**t & FCUK YOU KEANE YOU PIKEY BASTARD - THERE IS ONLY TEAM IN LONDON AND NEITHER OF YOU c**ts ARE GOOD ENOUGH TO PLAY FOR US :finger:

Diaby was much better in the second half, and he certainly didn't stroll around. In the first half his play was akin to Eboue against Wigan last season, confidence gone, so credit to him for keeping going (though I don't believe he should be playing week in, week out).

How anyone can criticise Bendtner yesterday I do not know - the lad was playing superbly and dominating in the air and on the ground. It was his best performance for Arsenal and a tragedy for him to get injured.

One more thing, today we heard the best chant I've heard at Arsenal in many years - "Harry, give us a twitch, Harry Harry, give us a twitch". Inspired and fucking hilarious. Just cut out the bollocks ole-ing - God it pisses me off!

The only reason he was "better" in the 2nd half was because his confidence was shot and he'd stopped trying anything other than basic 2 yard passes, therefore he made less obvious mistakes. Hiding does that.

I thought Diaby possibly had his worst game in an Arsenal shirt yesterday, and yet he still played 90 minutes. As someone else pointed out, I wonder whether his aerial ability (defensively) was a factor in that decision?

Anyway, other than Abou, I thought everyone played there part.

Great day, great result.

Song did well today no doubt, but his is not a great footballer. And the man of the match was Cesc who IS a great footballer
bollocks.

He's a different player to cesc. Just because he isnt a creatvie midfielder doesnt mean he isnt doing a invaluable job for the team. And so far this season, he's doing it well.

Nobody denying that he is doing "a job" mate but what has rightly been pointed out is that (a) he isnt and never will be a great footballer unless the requirements of what is needed to become great has dropped alarmingly (b) he is simply not good enough, strong enough or mobile enough to play alongside cesc in a 4-4-2 formation in the way a PV4 or petit could and there can simply be no denying of that fact.

Why can people not just view things clearly instead of taking an all out defensive approach when it comes to our players ? I mean most members on here will know that I am not a big fan of song but yesterday I felt he was outstanding and I give him his due credit for that but it doesnt blind me to his weaknesses as well.

Interesting point.

Firstly, I'd say that Song has improved so much in such a short period of time that I really wouldn't want to put a ceiling on what he's capable of!

Also, he's still a young lad who is learning his trade, and learning it fast... so, for now, I'm reluctant to bring out the comparisons with world stars such as Petit and Vieira.

Also, I'd agree that, at the moment, 4-3-3 probably suits Song more than a 4-4-2 would... but, that's not necessarily a weakness as a 3 man midfield suited Makelele perfectly, whereas I'm not convinced he would have been as effective alongside Cesc in a 4-4-2 - many will probably disagree, though.

The only explanation for this can only be you didnt actually watch the game, as Bendtner was having an immense game before the injury, he dominated everything, and everything he done was brilliant, was a real shame he got injured!

Great result, not the best we've played this season but all that matters is we beat the scum.
Loved Cesc's celebration, I also so this great pic on the BBC website of Clichy outjumping Crouch for a header!
