AZ Alkmaar cl thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Till we actually qualify, we should put out a strong a side as possible. Once we qualify, put out the Carling Cup side for the remaining, give them experience and game time. Might go for Nasri instead of Diaby but otherwise this would be my team

Almunia

Sagna Gallas Vermalean Clichy

Diaby Cesc Song

Arshavin van Persie Eduardo

Dont like the idea of us resting too many players; we're not through the group stages yet.

By all means give Nasri a runout (resting Cesc) and maybe Eduardo for Van Persie, but I don't want to see Eastmond in the side just yet ;)

A very strong side please ! And 90 minutes of concerntraion - Not 89 minutes :x :x

We have the opportunity to take 6 points from the next 2 CL games - both at the Ems.

Then - and only then - when it probably won't matter can we experiment with the side for the last game in Athens.

We must top this group - it would be folly if we don't.

And Cliche's back - not to mention Bendtner's groin, don't help one little bit.

Wenger had better have a list of plausible targets come January and be ready to pounce. We will need reinforcements come 2010 because that's when the injuries really kick in !

Tickets still on sale for this. :?

I know people are euphoric after Saturday but I would be happy with a solid 2-0 with no cards, no injuries and no stupid defensive errors.

I'm assuming that you mean "the same as Saturday" and not "the same as last time we played them".

3-1 for me and qualification assured.

I'm so glad I'm not a mouser   Their season will fizzle out before this years fireworks

Id love to see Nazzo get a run out, think both he and Rosicky make a huge contribution to the way we play and if they are both fit then we can really crank it up over the next two months.

Any win will do, especially as they are likely to sit back and defend, il go for a 2-0 with Nasri scoring first :barscarf:

I would go with a carling cup side tonight with a bit of quality on the bench if required. What we don't need is an injury to a first 11 choice player.
