Our ground would have been half empty if we were 4-0 down at home.Remember the JCL's leaving after an hour in the CL semi last season.Chippy wrote:My point is, we are a team that half of them buy tickets for, just to see. WOLVES AWAY
Mr mackem I was not using a mathematical formula. Just like your team there are a load of people who would turn up to watch us rather than eg Fulham. Not an insult. If you have limited money and can only afford a few games a season, why not.
And Donaldo of course is right, they were singing to the end.

Different teams have different expectations mate.Chippy wrote:My point is, we are a team that half of them buy tickets for, just to see. They knew we were better but still sang their hearts out. Wolves/birmingham/burnley etc would get full capacity even if they were bottom of the league.
Do you think Man Utd, Chelsea etc would if they were in the same position? Or do you think they'd all stay to sing at 4-1 down?
The idea that they are brilliant fans for singing while losing is a bit shite since I doubt many of them honestly expected to win.
This is exactly the sort of game we would have struggled with last season but we took our chances and defended well up until their goal. The game changed when Song came on but why did Wenger leave him out in the first place. If it ain't broke...Cesc is on fire and my fantasy football captain to boot!

Sounds like a new tune to Strum to BT.BT wrote:This is exactly the sort of game we would have struggled with last season but we took our chances and defended well up until their goal. No mate, You are not drunk.
You are right. Wolves fans gave every football fan a lession today... 4-0 down and still singing their hearts out.
That is in my book... A PROPER SUPPORT TO YOUR TEAM!!!
Unlike our fans, that leave The Grove with 20 minutes to go, being as energic and enthusiastic as at a funeral.
Wel played to them and that is what we should do at our home games, when we are loosing... Sing our hearts out and lift up our team morale.
COME ON YOU ARSENAL!!! Premiership Champions.

Just for reference regarding the "4 nil and ya fucked it up" shout, it was started by the arsenal fans and not the wolves. The away section were once again in pure clowning mode. Top effort again boys, although with the away section spread out over the length of the pitch it was hard for all to sing at the same time.
