Not fit to wear the shirt? (9/3)
usual thread starter... could not believe it when i read about this loudmouth. real fans back the team no matter what. if they are not delivering, abusing them is hardly going to turn things around.

Not fit to wear the shirt
For those that feel the same as that loud mouth inbred please take your so called support elsewhere....we don't need scum like you!
Anyone who thinks this team are not fit to wear the shirt should fuck off and never come back .It makes me laugh that these type of fans are always first in the queue when cup final tickets are handed out. The last 10 years have been wonderful to be a Gooner now after a few poor results some so-called fans are moaning.I would rather us play in an half empty stadium with REAL supporters than what we have now. Every other football fan in the country would love to watch the football we are seeing. My message to these plastic fans is if you dont like it give your ticket to a REAL fan

i sit in block 7 lower, have a good idea which fan your talking about if he sits a few rows from the front, i think he's been on the verge of being thrown out a few times already this season. as for the supporters iv'e already had a run in with one so called fan having a pop at henry( yes we all know he's struggled this season )unfortunately i think it's possibly supporters that have been on the waiting list for a few years ( no singing and just sill y arsed comments.

Real Fans?
'Real fans back the team no matter what'
I support Arsenal Football Club. I do not support T Henry FC or A Song FC or any other player. To me the only thing that matters is the shirt.
When I think someone is not good enough, I say so. When I think someone is not doing their best, I say so. When I think the manager has fucked up, I say so.
To say that everyone must give unconditional support all the time is bollocks. If people who follow the club are unhappy with what they are watching, how are they supposed to let the club know?
Did I cheer Terry Mancini and Gus Caesar and David Hillier. Did I fuck. They were shit and I wanted better for the shirt. Did I cheer Don Howe during those awful years we endured under his regime. Did I fuck.
I was at the game on Wednesday and I stayed to the end. I did not abuse any player but I understand the frustration of anybody who did.
When Hleb gives the ball away just in front of our box (again), I do not slag him off, but would I blame someone for calling him a *word censored*. No I wouldn't.
Just because you would cheer us winning the coin toss, it doesn't give you the right to criticise others who are not so easily pleased. Everyone who pays their money has the right to an opinion whether you like it or not.

Shifty gooner Do you think slagging off the team helps? Do you think a certain player will play well if you abuse him. I will never forget one of Henrys first games for us and he couldnt hit a barn door. And a fan in front of me saying "what a fucking waste of money why did we let Anelka go" Henry turned out to be the clubs greatest player.
Remember Istambul two years ago Liverpool 3-0 down in the CL final and there fans didnt stop singing for their team all through half-time,if that would have been Arsenal ShiftyGooner you would have been singing "What a load of rubbish" or "Wenger Out",or you would probably have left like the plastic fans v PSV

At the beginning of the season ( Man Citeh away)there was a geezer stood beside me (why me????) shouting at Pat Rice to play the ball wide etc. Out of his head the geezer was, bit scary as well. You get 'em tho don't ya? Figured that was what the stewards were there for. Another geezer wednesday night was having a go at people for not singing - called them cee you en tees!

I, as most gooners, have been dissapointed by this season but would never get on the teams back. Yes i will groan when a shot goes wide or a pass is misplaced but only 'cos i want the team to do well. I have never abbused any Arsenal player and anyone who is not supporting the team should be escorted out and their ticket given to a real fan. If you ain't supporting the team then we don't want you at the Grove.
totally agree with shiftygooner on this one.
Who are you to call anyone who expresses their opinion as "Not a real supporter". Football is about passion, expressions are based on their passion at the moment, and most supporters when away from the game, would probably have a different view and would confess their undying love for the club. What kind of wanker would also state that, if any supporter expresses themselves the way they do, then they should go and support Spurs, that is what I have come to see as the typical wanky Arsenal supporter response, the kind who thinks winning fuck all again is ok, as we are in transition. I expect, at the fucking prices we pay, for our Club to do better. I dont pay my money to see a bunch of kids running around the pitch, then for Wenger to spin some bullshit afterwards, like some politician, that even though we lost, we play the best football. We lost and that is it, irrespective to how we played, and what concerns me is that, this is becoming a habit, and that the players and the supporters are getting used to losing but thinking its ok, we played the better football.
Yes there are certain players who shouldnt be wearing the Arsenal shirt, not because I dont like them as people, its just that I think they are not good enough as footballers to play at Arsenals's level - they include:
Baptista - get back Reyes
Hleb - gives the ball away too cheaply
Adebayor - not prolific enough as a striker for my liking and misses too many gilt edge chances
Eboue - cant defend, and is a troublemaker
Lehman - to many mistakes, all at critical games

Swearing & Cursing
I think the fans have every right to fuel their frustrations at the players. Not by swearing and cursing - where does that get you anytime? BUT the fans that know a little about playing the game have seen the shortcomings of this squad for a long time. Considering that Arsenal are expecting fans to cough up to £70 a ticket for grade A games and seeing at times a passionless display by a team that thinks it can just turn up and expect the oppostion to roll over then act like petulant children when those said teams don't - Then we the paying public have the right to view his/her opinions. we can raise the bar against Man u and Chelski but they are the games you do not loose - its the other 30 games that really count.
Arsenal FC want to run our football club like a management business - then fine but as with all businessess if you fail to invest in its major product (The team) then standards will fall. I agree with the majority on this site that state we have overachieved for years and that we(the fans) are just spoilt, however AFC are charging big boys rates now - different pressures & expectations

All a real fan wants is to see any player no matter how good or bad they are is to try their best in a game. Every player can have a bad day, actually the whole team can have a bad day. If they put the effort in then they deserve to be clapped of the pitch. If a player is getting abused by the crowd then why should they clap the abuse? Any 'fan' that leaves before the the half time whistle (to get food or drink) or the final whistle (to get the tube) should leave themselves at home for the next game.

Donaldo, no I don't think abusing a player will make him play better. I also don't think that cheering a bad player will make him good.
I am not asking for people to abuse the team, I am pointing out that anyone who pays to watch has, in my opinion, the right to say what he or she likes.
You are not the arbiter of who is or is not a `real' fan and you should show more understanding of why some people leave early. Some of them might travel long distances and have to catch trains, some might have to go to work, some of them might just think `fuck it' I'm off. It's up to them, not you.
Somebody wrote that they would rather have a half empty stadium than people who leave early. Surely that would deprive the club of much needed income and would be far more damaging to Arsenal in the long run than people who leave five minutes early.

Shiftygooner you say some fans have trains to catch but the early leavers are even leaving early when it is a 3"o"clock kick off on a saturday. And there were thousands of empty seats with 5mins to go v Blackburn and that was a 12.30 kick off. My real problem is with the fans that left as soon as PSV scored. If the score had still been 1-0 there would have been extra time and maybe even penalties.Would these fans who had trains to catch have still left early.I very much doubt it. They left early because we were losing.
