I hate fifa

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Yet more folding to media outrage.

Really, if they thought replaying a game was opening a can of worms what the hell do they think suspending somebody from the World cup for a yellow card offense is going to do?

Fucking muppets :awnker:

I would have no probs with fifa introducing bans for offences like this if they passed a rule in the summer time to enforce it from then on so everybody knows where they stand. In my opinion you cannot and should not try to introduce a ban like this in the middle of the season and try to hide it under the guise of an existing rule  It is funny that enforcing stricter action against thuggery doesnt come higher in their list of priorities

So you'd be ok for every player to be banned from major tournaments because they handle the ball?

The ONLY reason this is being discussed (obviously) is because the handling led to a goal. Rules are rules, and whether somebody does or does not score from breaking the rules should not make a blind bit of difference in the eyes of the football authorities.

But it does because the people at fifa are clowns
