Do you have a wife/hubby/partner and if so.....

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

.....does the fact that you love The Arsenal piss them off?
Thankfully I seem to be married to a wonderful woman who understands that nearly 40 years of supporting a club is important to me (although she doesn't know how I pay for my season tickets!!!)
Anyway, was wondering if your other half is as understanding as mine when it comes to footie?!!

i even proposed outside the arsenal stadium so she feels it is very important in our life

When me and my missus starting going out, she enjoyed coming to Highbury, pub or anywhere to watch Arsenal...
Now we are married, she does nothing but moans about how many times a week a football match is on tv... Although she never says NO when i ask her if she wants to come to AG...
It's just the controversial nature of the women...

She moans about me spending on Arsenal kit, tickets and everything...
Her famous expression: Why men never grow up???

yes its true, we were in london a couple of years back for the chavs game , her first trip to the arsenal and i meant to be romantic and propose on the london eye but the weather was shite so she didn't want to go up on it, she said she wanted to see the grove and do a bit of arsenal shopping and since the ring was in my pocket all day i decided to propose under a big arsenal crest , she said yes and then we headed to the gunners bar and got drunk

My missus used to love going over to highbury to the matches but rarely watches them anymore - she complains all the time about the fact that we have no real men like PV4, TA6, keown etc in the team and that these players are all wusses in comparison

My missus is a true Gooner, born in Islington and a frequent visitor to Highbury long before we met

Thankfully this allows me to sulk like a baby when we lose, rant and rave at the flatscreen, get stupidly drunk when we win and generally dedicate far too much time and devotion to the Gooners :barscarf:
