When you go to the emirates, who do you go with?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

This actually begs an interesting comparison. When I started to stand on the old North Bank in the mid '70s, although there was - obviously enough - no set places and everyone used to mill about, you did get used to seeing certain regulars. And over time faces if not names stuck. You used to say 'Hello' or nod to people and sing along with them, even though you never knew anything else about them.

I am now on the end of the row in Block 51 in the dreaded Corporates section. The four seats next to me on my left are obviously owned by a Company in a 'block booking' and each game 4 different people show up. The two seats in front of me seem permanently vacant and unsold.

In contrast, I actually recognize and chat to the Stewards as they have become familiar over time. Most of my fellow 'supporters' in contrast, seem to be just passing through for the day.

That is one way of measuring the changes from the old First Division to the new 'Super Prem' !!

Normally go with my eldest daughter. The other one has been to the Grove, but lives in Yorkshire. Not exactly round the corner. So.

Going by myself on Sunday. No ticket, yet. But looking forward to the Gunners pub, even if I can't get one.

Look forward to seeing as many posters as possible. Bengleton is coming over from Italy. :barscarf:
