As I thought take your e-ticket to the 'fast track' machines along with the card. Insert the card along with along with entering your fast track reference. This will be on the your e-ticket. The tickets will print out.

Yep, I advised him that if he's old enough to travel up north on a week night by himself, he's probably old enough to have his own bank account by now.
But seriously, you should be able to get a letter signed by your dad authorizing you and your friend to travel. I'm pretty sure its illegal otherwise. Speak to consumer rights people. Did it not say when you purchased it?
OMG WAS THAT SERIOUSLY YOU!!! YOU COMPLETE AND UTTER BITCH
who is the consumer rights people?
they won't even let me do the letter thingy! they basicly said sorry mate thats £79 down the drain you shoulda read the terms and conditions

Yeah, seriously was man. How many Beckys are there, after all?
Presumably, unless Virign make it explicitly clear when selling the tickets that the cardholder must be travelling, you have a case. As someone else said, surely companies and schools etc dont have to have the cardholder there on trips.
