Our team is simply not good enough to compete with Chelsea/Utd & the other big teams at the moment.

Although we had a lot of possession, i've never been so frustrated by our fannying around on the 18 yard line. Someone have a fucking shot please! :banghead: Walcott not good enough again, seems to have turned into Diaby - tries to do too much & just runs into the opposition. AA23, not bad but still not great - admitted in the programme today that he know's he's not been playing too well recently. Hope he gets it together soon. Almunia failing to command his area yet again. And the defence, dear God the defence. Needs to be fixed as a matter of priority. Some wise spending in January can rectify some/all of these problems but what are the chances of that?

Don't really know what else to say but that's pretty much the result or thereabouts I was expecting before the game. Oh yeah, was stood by the away section today. They really are the scummiest fans about. You know there are some fans you can have good, light hearted banter with even when you're losing but they really are just a massive bunch of chavvy *word censored*.

It's depressing as hell. I'm sick of criticising my team I hate doing t but nothing ever changes. We haven't finished in the top 2 for years and have been sitting on 4th for years. I'm just so angry with the way this team has gone since 2004. My sister who knows little about football knows that the likes of Song,Diaby and Denilson aren't good enough and yet they flood our team and bench. Again I know i'm angry but we give our players so many chances to prove themselves and yet we know that if they had the chance to leave they would without thinking twice.

Have to say that gallas's positioning for chavs first two goals was nothing short of shocking  If a man of his experience doesnt know his positioning by now then what hope have we got with the kids learning from him ?
I know I will again be lambasted by almunia's one guy fanclub ( ) but I would love to know what the fcuk he was doing for the 2nd goal  If a keeper is coming for that ball then he has to be totally in command by vocally making his defenders aware and also by coming out towards the ball not going sidewards and hoping nobody gets across in front of you  His distribution was woeful again today as well  I know he has a poor defence in front of him but I think if he had the legendary Arsenal backline of a few short years ago in front of him he would still be poor and either TA6 or Keown would fcuking kill him

We are the best team in the world;

when the sun is shining

when we're at home

when the pitch is perfect

when we have everybody fit

when there's no pressure & nothing to play for

when the opposition is average at best

when the referee gives us everything

when the opposition lets us play.

If any one of these variables is missing however, we crumble.

I still think 3rd place is possible which would progress on the last few seasons but will it be enough................?

i think what i get pissed off with more than anything is the fact that only one person decided to get rid of our invincible team and not replace them. Why do you need to rebuild anyway, this whole transition period thats been going on for the last 5 years needn't have happened if Wenger had just kept players before flogging them for a profit throughout his time at Arsenal, or cause he didn't want to offer them a contract . Overmars, Petit, Anelka, Vieria, Edu, Pires, Reyes, Cashley,Henry etc we could have been the champions every year just think

Almunia (lens too old)
Sagna
Campbell
Vermaelan
Cole
Arshavin
Fabregas
Vieira
Pires
Henry
Anelka

Seamoisalegend hopes you are joking. As you say Lehman was to old he can only assume you base this line up on something you would want today.

Campbell?!??! A guy who was great for us at the time but now cant hack two games for Notts County. Cole!!!!?!? Yea that was really Wengers fault Cole at no point suggested he wanted to move to Chelsea at all. Vieira and Pires? You mean one who ever season mouthed off about a move aborad and then by his last season was very poor and another who was very good but definatly not performing by the end?!?!?
Yea coz no effort was made to keep Henry at all in fact the season before he left we just showed him the door. Anelka? Again we made no effort at all to keep him.
Think about it, these players because either they wanted to leave to or were no longer performining. Players like Cole and Anelka we couldnt keep if we wanted to they had decided to go and players like Vieira and Pires were greats for us but we seem to ignore they were not to good in there last seasons.

I think i am just going through an emotional time at the moment reminiscing about past times and wish we had them back.

radford believes that this is one of the problems woth some of our fans. we need to forget about our players from the past and must stop hankering for thier return.

radford requests that we please move on

It pains me to say this, but the chavs are just above us. There's nothing to argue about. Despite all the respect I have for wenger, he had the tactics wrong again. Plus, his post-match conference shows that he's as stubborn as ever... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Awwww well... In the end, I'm not getting anymore than what I expected at the start of the season. We will still show some nice display against lower teams this year. I just don't see us winning anything yet again.

If we could only buy just a few quality players we could so easily dominate Europe!! Good players are expensive these days. Wenger will never accept putting 30 mil on a player, and we'll always be short.

The problem when you rely on outscoring teams as we have this season sooner or later your start firing blanks but you'll still concede.

Teams that rely on outscoring opponents NEVER win big trophies
