songs for wen we play west ham

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'm just annoyed cos I also thought of "Are you West Ham in disguise", but wasn't quick enough off the mark in posting it!! I've got nothing against "stand up...." or "Arsenal, arsenal, arsenal...." - but not all the time for gods sake! What about a liberal sprinkling of old favourites like "lah, lah, lah, lah, lah lah, lah, lah lah lah, lah Arsenal....." or "We'll drink, drink together...." or "She wore a yellow ribbon..." or "We hate nottingham forest...." (maybe a bit dated now that they're in Div 2). These all seem to get an airing at CC games but maybe not enough at Prem. And what ever happened to "And paddy got up...." that used to be sung by gooners when sitting at an away match (in the days of terrace)? That would be good fun, cos it would mean that people weren't standing all the time and pissing off the stewards, and we'd all get some much needed exercise as well...!!

What about "You're down, and you won't be back...." to the tune of 1-0 to the arsenal? Or "Who's going to be a millionaire? Not West Ham"

I remember them singing "cheerio" to our supporters at Highbury last year when they scored their third. How about we sing "cheerio" to them as they leave the premiership for another spell in the championship?

wasn't there one with,
"we hammered the hammers with carving knives and spanners"
in its lyrics. I vaguely recall that but could be wrong!

to the tune of "In my Liverpool home" which was another merseyside "we love ourselves "song in the 60s. I dont know if Ive heard the original but the football song was popular in 80s and even 90s song. It was changed depending on who we play so can be

in your liverpool slums or
in your manchester slums etc
