Coupet

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

ouch. When the studs catch like that you are fucked. Saw a lad on the bro's team break his ankle and dislocate his knee when his studs caught about 10 years ago... poor fucker never played again. Awful injury - his leg was facing the wrong way round from the knee down, the medial and cruciate were torn and the tertiary (I think it's called) ligament was severed. All from just catching his studs in heavy turf - no one near him.

I was sort of lucky with my own broken ankle. Even though it was broken inside and out, and the guy that nailed me had come in over the ball at pace, they were clean breaks.

Every time I see a video like that I instantly remember that sickening moment when I knew the ankle was broken... :(

Wouldnt wish that on anybody :( Hope he makes a full recovery but with his age you would have to be doubtful of his making a return. He was a very good keeper especially with nantes in his prime and it would be a crying shame if his career was to end on this note

He never played for Nantes, you're mistaking with Mickael Landreau who left Paris for Lille OSC in the summer
