It's not retarded to wonder if AW's ideas will not work in an Abramovich dominated era. It is not retarded to wonder how we let our good experienced players go and replace them with very inexperienced players with a fragile psyche that crumbles in the presence of decent physical opposition. It is not retarded to wonder how the manager cannot see that some players are just not good enough to play for The Arsenal.Vlad III wrote:Amazing loyalty folks! Yes we all want to win the title and the champions league, but it's not our divine right. Arsene Wenger has made this club what it is today and without him I dread to think where we would be. He has done an amazing job with limited resources and any other team in the country would jump if they had the chance to get him. It makes me ashamed to be a gooner when people come out with shit like "lets get david moyes" Seriously, are you retarded? Everton are doing wonderful at the moment aren't they? He will need a new trophy cabinet soon with all the sucess he's having.
All I can say is: Be careful what you wish for!

Do you think Cesc is gonna hang around if the saviour Moyes comes in? How about RVP or Arshavin? would they fuck! Do you think they are going to play attractive football under super Dave? hmmm... not me. But you want him because "he gets on" when he has injuries? WOW! Where do I sign?
Excellent post, topgoon. I love Wenger but I'm quickly coming to the end of my tether with him. He seems as incapable of accepting the great youth experiment has failed as he is incapable of teaching his players a real Plan B for when the tippy tappy beautiful passing game will not break down a team of 11 defenders.topgoon wrote:It's not retarded to wonder if AW's ideas will not work in an Abramovich dominated era. Everton are doing poorly with an injury list that would make AW weep.I wonder how we would fare if Bendtner,RvP,Fabregas,Gallas,Clichy and Arshavin were all injured at exactly the same time. That's what Everton and Moyes have had for 2 seasons and still he gets on.
If you think it's retarded to watch a team show no heart or fight and get angry because it is the least you expect from them, then good luck to you.
It isn't disloyal to the club to think if AW has given us great service but it's time to start thinking what was previously unthinkable.....A new start.
It doesn't have to be with a new manager but if he can't see what everybody else can see from a mile off then it's time to part ways amicably.
No one expects to win the league and champions league every year, just to compete after the leaves have fallen off the trees.
You talk like he is the only world class manager in the world. He is now the highest paid in the league, why should I not expect him to organise a team that can FUCKING DEFEND SET PIECES![]()
On the corners issue (indeed all set pieces - we are shit at taking and defending all types of set piece) I get the impression that Wenger does not practice them with the players in training. I think he finds the idea of a goal scored like that just doesn't sit well with his ideal of the perfect tippy tappy 100 pass goal. It's like it's beneath him or something...topgoon wrote:Cheers DB, Vlad the topgoon impaler III seems to think I enjoy saying this. It's just borne out of frustration.
We all love AW and I'd defend him over the wankers in the press anyday but the indefensible leaves me cold.
How can a team need to be 3 or 4 goals up at home or away before the fans can relax ?, How many corners do we concede goals from in identical fashion every week for the past 5 years now...how is that progress?
Vlad III, I noticed you only focused on the Moyes suggestion and completely ignored the Mourinho one...deep down inside, I think you probably agree with me.
Yep, thats actually what I said yesterday. If you consider the state of affairs for our non-existance of a front line now, then maybe just maybe we will buy in January.Magic Hat wrote:I'll wait till end of season before making such a choice
I focused on the Moyes suggestion as it was so utterly ridiculous!topgoon wrote:Cheers DB, Vlad the topgoon impaler III seems to think I enjoy saying this. It's just borne out of frustration.
