Fucking play Arshavin up front
Knowing wenger he will probably play the little guy at left back next week
To be fair I didnt get to watch the game on a stream today so cant say myself that he played well but the concensus on here seems to suggest that he played well. I have always argued that the little genius is wasted on the wing and I pray that wenger will now see sense and play him in the Bergkamp role
If wenger also changed the system back to 4-4-2 with arshavin playing behind a main striker and nasri + rosicky on the wings then I will be happy

He was immense in the first half, getting between defenders and the midfield, linking up well and making some penetrating runs. We should have been 3-0 up by half time.augie wrote:Knowing wenger he will probably play the little guy at left back next week![]()

Second half he got tired and faded some what.
Im just hoping it wont require 3 straight domestic defeats in order for us to get an energetic display from him.
AA was excellent today. What he has which both Eduardo and Vela dont is excellent movement. He plays the game in his head. Its sad that it has taken all our strikers to get injured until he plays him in the middleaugie wrote:Knowing wenger he will probably play the little guy at left back next week![]()

People say we shouldnt play him upfront because he is small and cant hold the ball up but in all fairness van persie didnt play like that. He jus made those smart runs between defenders like arshavin did yesterday. With Rosicky on one wing and Nasri on the other we could buy a tall, strong (tall preferable) centre mid to strengthen the midfield then problem sorted!

There was a significant difference between RvP and Arshavin leading the line though.Gooner Jim wrote:People say we shouldnt play him upfront because he is small and cant hold the ball up but in all fairness van persie didnt play like that. With Arshavin everything was forward moving and directly penetrative. Van persie was much more comfortable with his back to goal and build up was more patient.
Not suggesting one is the better then the other, they're slightly different though which Wenger's change of formation demonstrated.
