STOKE CITY THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I gotta say Eboue did lighten the mood today. Those useless Stoke monkeys musta thought we were voodoo-fcuking with their minds when they found him careening about amongst our misfiring mix of class and kids. He was limping around near the end like some wounded Gerd Muller on a hatrick and acknowledged the ovation when he went off like Maximus in Gladiator. Mad *word censored*'s in a world of his own. If he could only add some damage to his bonkers box of tricks then he could lay claim to being properly calamitous. Mr Clumsy. The Clumster. :o
He could regularly smash the opposition into bits in an "ooooh Betty" way and despite causing some quite nasty injuries, would be ultimately forgiven by all because they knew he was just that crazy goona Christian mentalist who doesn't actually know what he's doing. Probably wouldn't even get that many cards after a while. We would shrug innocently and say "and he did clear that one off the line for you remember?" Or "We don't know what's going on either. See? He's just fallen over for no reason". Smiling Eboue would become a lovably shite national treasure in an Eddie the Eagle type way and everyone would understand that we had to keep giving him matchtime for the good of humanity because whole cities could be in peril if we didn't.

Easy, there are no pubs around here that do illegal streaming and I post when there are stoppages in play + usually I have the radio and a stream running since the streams crash all the time.

fabregas you stuipid *word censored* get out the way

it would have been

eboue you stupid *word censored* just kicked it straight at cesc when the whole goal was gapping!

there wasnt anything eboue could do bout that but there was something cesc could of done not kick it at him!

Having watched some of our highlights on football first last nite I have to say that almunia's "effort" at coming to claim a delap long throw in the 1st half was nothing short of a calamity  FFS the ball landed in the 6 yard box (again) and he looks like he is coming to claim the cross, hesitates and ends up on his arse without anyone knocking him over  It was like the stoke away game last season all over again   :banghead:

aye rite, blame cesc. eboue is a muppett of the highest order. wtf is he doing on the goal-line anyways???? anytime eboue is included in the line up, the opposition, must be pissing themselves laughing, knowing whatever chance they have v arsenal is improved when he plays. its wengers fault of course, for playing the dud. its just a pity fabs shot didnt catch him full force on his ugly face, and knock him out cold, now that would have been funny

If you have a stream running, do you not want to just concentrate on that. If it crashes, are you not too busy finding another to post. And can you jump on a train to Highbury and find a pub that shows the game?

Just asking   8)

If it crashes I have the radio on to pick up the slack, since the streams take a while to load anyway . I tend to not "rely" on the streams too much, but as I said I usually flip over to post after im done celebrating a goal or theres a stoppage in play :D

My dedication isnt great enough to get a train from uni (portsmouth) to north london to watch us play stoke on deadline weekend on some foreign pub stream that probably has the annoying GOOOOOOOOOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL commentators 8)

Do you accept defeat? 8)

 No...

I don't really care how you watch/listen to the game (is every weekend a deadline weekend? ), just the posting during the game I find odd, to say the least.

I guess Fabregas is a bit of a c**t for scoring straight after RvP in the spurs game. Must allow more time for internet postings Cesc!

I was in the pub for the sp*rs game, but to be fair he was too quick for most people inside the stadium and for sky who were too busy replaying the first goal.

Great post from littlefire.

Eboue was hilarious when he went off. When he realised he was being applauded (and I even clapped, myself!!! ) he started doing some extra limping, and took ages to reach the dugout. He really, really milked it.

Overall, I thought it was a very dis-jointed performance from the team. Even though we should have been 3-0 up at half-time. We need to do a lot better, or we will win fuck all again.

(Blimey, I think I've joined the realists  )

You cant just join the realists......it is by invite only and at the mo we are too busy pushing g88ners registration through (he pleaded with us to allow him join you know  ) to look the possibility of allowing you to join mate :( It used to be fun being part of an elite group but now every *word censored* wants to join it is beginning to lose it's appeal

I know what augie - let's become rose-tinters and see what happens then. :? Being of the same mind with the likes of Swaley, BDB, tinpot, Captain Fabregas etc, etc, and seeing things their way could turn out to be a load of fun - kind of like being on a permanent LSD/magic mushrooms trip!! :? :? 8) 8)

You never know, it might even encourage Smoothie back as he'd then automatically be part of the forum 'clique' - which as we know, is what he really wanted all along!!
