And that they didn't deserve to wear the Arsenal shirt!

Perhaps AW is getting real.

1802: Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen on Arsene Wenger's angry half-time team-talk that inspired the Gunners' comeback: "I've never seen him before like that and we reacted very well. It was very important for us to win today - we have closed the gap a little bit and we are back in the race I think."

Well played Arsene & well played Arsenal :barscarf:

Great result overall from an understrength side against a full strength Liverpool. First half was awful but we turned up in the second and we deserved the win overall!

Almunia was poor all game, poor distribution and very poor for their goal. Johnson own goal made up for it and what a strike from Arshavin!!!

Would love to know what Arsene said at HT in the dressing room, would be great to know if he truly has grown a pair. Stopping Cesc bout friendly game, suing the Dutch FA for RVP injury and now this. THERE'S ONLY ONE ARSENE WENGER!! :hail: :bowing21: :hail: :teeth:

If he drops Almunia for the next game I will start to think he has some balls.

The scouse fans ranting at Webb crack me up. He gave them the rub of the green at our place last season (including a ridiculous red for the greedy one) and they still couldn't beat us....

Saw the team sheet and predicted a none-scoring loss, our only hope being in the form of own goals.

Almunia needs to disappear, the bloke is toilet.

Great result- after a fucking awful 1st half

Two things we learned again was Arshavin is a world class player who even if he doesnt do much when he does he is a matchwinner. And it shows if you buy quality that is what you get.take the hint Wenger and buy a quality striker

And once again we saw how bad Almunia is.Another mistake another goal.We need a striker and a keeper in january

First half, absolutely dreadful. Almunia was all over the place with crosses and made a colossal blunder, we were lucky Webb didn't give Liverpool two penalties, Denilson was abysmal, Cesc was poor. The strikers were starved with Walcott the only one looking like he could do anything but he was only below average and faded as half wore on. The only good point was our back four + Song had restricted Liverpool to only two shots on target with a resilient performance. Still silly challenge by otherwise Gallas on Gerrard, got away with that

Second half, more assured in possession, didn't work Reina much but two good moves, two good goals. We were far more composed on the ball throughout the half though we lacked cutting edge after the winner went in. Brilliant defensive performance to stop Liverpool getting a shot on target, that back 5 (Song being the 5th) were fantastic and they ground us out a win.

We can and must perform better in the future going forward but oh we needed that win

Fecking Brilliant.

Winning, when we play shite is a good sign.

Come on Boys, let's wrap up the next few games and give Manwho & Chelski something to worry about.

What as great win!

Song was brilliant today, my Man of the Match. I've always said his fault is that he goes missing in the big games but he didn't today at all.

Whole back 5 outfield players were excellent, Gallas loves these games and Sagna was back to near his best.
