Fecking Brilliant.

Winning, when we play shite is a good sign.

Come on Boys, let's wrap up the next few games and give Manwho & Chelski something to worry about.

What as great win!

According to Andy Gray, thats what makes a good side great.

djhdjh wrote:Song was brilliant today, my Man of the Match. I've always said his fault is that he goes missing in the big games but he didn't today at all.

Whole back 5 outfield players were excellent, Gallas loves these games and Sagna was back to near his best.
Song did OK but caught in possession too often when he tried to play himself out of trouble.

Gallas got away with two very rash tackles. One a certain pen and the other very simliar one on Torres just outside the box. Ref luckily ignored both.

Song had a good 2nd half but he along with nearly everyone else was absolute shite in the first half

To come back from a goal down at half timea and win away to any team is a great result but to do it v the scousers at a place that is usually an unhappy hunting ground for us makes this turnaround all the more special 8) I thought sagna played well today as did song and cesc in the 2nd half but our little russian genius showed again today that world class quality will always shine through :barscarf:

On a negative note I thought that gallas and traore were poor at the back (would rather have tweety at left full I think  ), nasri largely anonymous, denilson awful and theo and diaby for the time he was on the field were absolute garbage  We are talking about aurellio at left back for the scousers and he still didnt give our "wonderkid" a kick of the ball and diaby lost possession and got caught in possession frequently yet again

On a very serious note here I have to say that almunia is the worst number 1 I have seen in the club in my lifetime :( He is without doubt an accident waiting to happen every single fcuking time he plays for us and his pitiful attempts at dealing with their crosses were an embarassment to pub team keepers everywhere  I argued on this forum just a few days ago that average al cannot command his area when dealing with crosses and in that aspect fabinski, even allowing for his faults, is the better option of the two. I am sick of reading fans saying that you cannot drop your first choice keeper - have a look at this clown and tell me he is good enough to be our number 1 right now even with the limited choices we have  I dont care who gets offended but I hope almunia slips getting off the bus back in london and breaks his fcuking arm - I am not wishing a serious injury on him but just enough to get the *word censored* out of our team and I dont want to hear anymore lame fcuking excuses about shit that has happened back in spain 2 months ago cos the time for his excuses has gone  By the way I agree 100% with our polish friend (aw) when he rightly says that if wenger has balls he will now drop almunia - one (overdue) half-time bollocking doesnt mean that wenger has now seen the light at all

It was an excellent second half performance from the boys.. They showed again that they have the strength(i mean mental strength and not the physical strength others say) and the desire to be champions. They have biggest motivator to guide them to ‘Glory’.

My only concern is the ‘injury curse’ which has hit Arsenal very hard this season. We have coped very well(atleast a lot better than others) even though more than 10 of our first team squad are injured. They have had to change the style of play every other even if the formation remained the same. Is there any team in the EPL or anywhere in the world who had played the same formation with different players asked to play at different positions. RvP, Dudu, Big Nic, Vela and AA played the lead role at different times this season. No other team have done that or could do that. I just pray the injury crisis goes away from Arsenal and let the boys and Arsene do what they do best….

Song was awesome yet again, a rock in the middle. Amazing how much he has improved this season, if only he wasnt african im not looking forward to jan without him.

Tommy V, also superb deserverd his motm. Won everything in the air, kept torres very quiet in the second half. Also has the ability to step out of defense with the ball and find a pass.

A few negatives, Denilson very poor. Gave the ball away for 90 minutes didnt make a tackle or interceptions as some of you say he does. Game passed him by.

Almunia the worst number 1 goalkeeper in the prem. He shit himself when lucus jumped infront of him for the goal. Goalkeepers should command their area, Jump and go through players to catch or punch the ball clear. He bottled the challenge and the palmed it back into the danger zone. He has never won us a game but lost us many. A world class keeper is needed in january!!

But what a great result, especially after yesterdays results. Playing shit and winning makes it even better in my book. Been a long time since i have seen arsenal did that against a top for team, fa cup final in 2005 i think.

Burnley is huge now, win that and then hull and sat and we are in with a massive shout if we strengthen in jan.

Come on you Gunners!!! :barscarf:

Actually, qualify my statement on Song, I remember now (having come down from the high of winning) he did give the ball away a lot. Still didn't go missing defensively as he often does when it matters.

How on God's Earth did we win that one ???????

WE should have been 3 down - at the minimum - at half time.

From the back: - I've defended Almunia in the past but that was pityful. He punched - or tried to - when he should have caught,.....???????

Sagna - whom I like - was a yard short and woeful in distribuition. Torres was all over him.

Denielson ? What does he do for this team ? Slow; can't pass; caught in possession; just pityful.

Walcott ? Characteristically anonymous !

Arshavin - woeful first half but always capable of that moment of brilliance to save the day.

Having said that, I thought, Cesc, Song, Vermillion and Nasri tried hard but 4 players do not a team make.

Please spare me, the title winning triumphalism. This win will only fuel Wenger's delusion.

God help us if he doesn't bring in at least two quality players in January !

1)how much did rafa pay for his team?

At times i thought we were playing against graham taylors watford,i got neck ache from the scouses long punts upfield.Tonight showed the scousers are a 1 man team,we shut down torres and really in the 2nd half there did fuck all.Great win and hopefully we can progress from here.

Great win, poor performance in many ways. At half time I felt we might lose 2 or 3 nil and in fairness the mousers must feel a bit hard done by. But we grafted in the 2nd half and I feel we deserved the win.

Players?

Aluminium Al is fucked. What a cowardly way to concede their goal. A keeper should come out into traffic like that and plough every fucker in front of him to get the ball. Could you imagine Jennings flapping like that because he might have got hit?

Denilson is just awful. Lovely bloke, great guy etc etc etc blah blah blah... He is a very poor footballer and either needs to go out on loan or go play in the championship... at the moment (and for the last 2 or 3 years) he is not up to PL standard. Can't tackle, can't pass more than 5 yards without losing the ball, can't shoot, can't dribble, can't anything! :?

Song was a bit patchy I thought. Some great covering work to help out the very poor Denilson and the back 4 but was caught in possession too often. Needs to go back to simplifying his game.

Traore looked a bit dodgey at times and a bit good at others! Not sure about him at all. Haven't seen enough to make a real judgement. Was average yesterday though.

Sagna looked short a yard or two and seemed labouring to get up and down. Possibly in constant fear of Walcott losing the ball and getting hit on the break?

Nasri was pretty anonymous for the whole game. As was Cesc in the first half, but Cesc improved in the 2nd.

Walcott and Diaby were just awful. Brought absolutely nothing to the game. My 5 year old daughter may as well have been out there!

Tommy V was deffo MOTM and Gallas was blessed a couple times (one was deffo a penno).

AA23 was very anonymous mostly and got pulled around by their CH's rather than him pulling them around (but then he is not really in that IWWW mode). But his goal was just top top drawer. Pure raw instinctive finish. Spin the defender and bang! I still think he is slightly demotivated by having to play with the likes of Eboue and Denilson and Walcott etc. He is a confidence player and if we could stick another couple of top players around him I think he would go onto even better (and more consistant) performances.

Nice to see the gravity-challenged Gerard is still a diving cheat. How can bumping into Denilson's arse send you sprawling to the ground holding your ribs and screaming? Fucking clown...

Anybollocks, 2-1; I predicted it. Where's me prize? :-P
