As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I like nasri as a footballer although he is another of our technically gifted but midget sized players His "stamp" was fcuking harmless yesterday and the hull player should get a bafta for his acting although I can understand why rebel would see it as a red card cos clearly he shouldnt have done it. I know I said this already on the match thread but nasri has every reason to feel aggreived over the lack of back up he received from his team-mates as scumbag barmby struck him in the face and hunt pulled and pushed him all over the place Can you imagine if the happened 5 or 6 seasons ago ? PV4 and Keown would have bodies scattered all over the place not to mention what ralphs contribution would be
I rate him highly, and think what he did was great, about time one of ours standing up for himself and the team. Got the crowd going yesterday too after a dull first half.
There is a massive difference between stamping and standing, he trod lightly on that cheats foot ... the fact that he was up and walking around 5 minutes later .... Hull won't press anything from it, as if they do, the video evidence will show 2 players 'raising their hands' which will lead to bans. Nasri is a gifted player, and a great talent, we need more like this from him
Poor play by Nasri, would have had no complaints had he been sent off, I can understand the Hull players reactions to that. Even so, Barmby should have gone off
As a player, think Nasri can vanish at times and needs to impose himself but has the ability to cause damage to any team. Also fairly young isn't he so could have a long career here? A bit of a nasty streak doesn't hurt either
redstevo wrote:Like him or not was good to see silvestre getting involved in the rumble as was Almunia running 60 yards. Gallas was by the opposite touchline!!
In fairness mate almunia ran 60 yards and did fcuk all bar pointing at a few of their *word censored* Did he get in and drag any of them away from nasri ? Did he fcuk and he looked nervy when any of theirs squared up to him actually I'd say he is as good in a ruck as he is as a keeper
Fair point but lets face it these days if you start dragging people about they fall to the floor to get you sent off. putting a bit of presence about is all you can do without giving the cock bennett an excuse to be billy big biscuits
I rate nasri and was impressed with him in his first season for us, and although he has had injuries this season, i would like to see him do more in games on the creative side, like at burnley when cesc went off we needed someone to come up with a goal or a killer pass and sometimes i feel he just takes the simple route, and passes it, hopefully with more games under his belt he can start adding goals to his game
