VIDEO NASRI

ARSENAL BOXING DAY A WEEK EARLY

Arsene Wenger fears he will be without Samir Nasri for the crucial festive period - and that would deliver a huge blow to Arsenal's title hopes.

Fa chiefs yesterday ordered referee Steve Bennett to review a video of Nasri's bust-up with Hull City's Richard Garcia.

Bungling Bennett admitted to the FA he missed Nasri's stamp on Garcia's foot which sparked a 20-man brawl during Arsenal's clash with Hull at the Emirates on Saturday.

Nasri was booked for his part in the melee which followed, while midfielder Alex Song could also be in trouble for grabbing Hull's Stephen Hunt round the throat.

The FA now have until 6pm today to decide whether to charge Nasri, which could land him with a three-match ban for violent conduct.

That would rule him out of the crucial Christmas and New Year games with highflying rivals Aston Villa on December 27, the visit to Portsmouth three days later and the FA Cup tie at West Ham.

The Gunners are already sweating on the fitness of captain Cesc Fabregas for the Villa game as the Spanish midfielder has a hamstring injury.

Robin van Persie, Nicklas Bendtner, Gael Clichy and Tomas Rosicky are also on Arsenal's growing injury list and a suspension for Nasri would be a huge blow. It is a significant step for the FA to ask Bennett to look again at the video as the referee admitted he missed it even though millions saw the stamp on Match of the Day.

Bennett also angered Wenger with his second-half penalty award against French defender Mikael Silvestre for shirt-pulling, even though TV replays later cast doubt on the decision.

Fucking hell... :banghead: :banghead:

I actually think Nasri could be a big player for Arsenal, but in all fairness to date i really don't think he has done that match.

He had a pretty big reputation before joining us and i actually expected more than he has delivered so far.

Really don't recall that many matches when i could say Nasri had a great game........decent, good yes but as i said i expected more.

Hopefully between now and the end of season he can become a very important player.

In fairness to Bennett yes, we all saw the kick on the Telly! But the blatant kick was right behind 'bungling Bennetts' () back!

However, am I right in saying that if Bennett now cautions Nasri, the FA can literally do Sweet FA?
(i.e Can't be punished twice!?)

It looks like he got booked for his part in the the 'melee' that ensued after the 'stamp' (the gayest stamps in the history of stamps by the way), (so they're seperate incidents) so it looks like he'll get done for this, and knowing our luck with the F.A. it will be a 3 game ban, as he's not English, and doesn't captain England so different rules apply.

Correct!
This rule means your mum is allowed to steal dinner and dog food from Tesco's. Aswell as your Dad being a drug pusher!

Where as Eduardo is a cheating, diving, leg breaking foriegner who should be excuted and then exported forthwith!
Same with the Spiting, pizza throwing, hoddie wearing Spanish midfielder.

Bloddy foriegners learn from Shearer, Owen, Terry, Lamparse, Shrek, C@$hl£y, Gazza, Sheringham etc...!

Barmby innocent on all counts, he is English and does not play for Arsenal. He only reacted to the violent provocation by the evil foreigners.

I like the way they are bending the rules to seek a way to charge Nasri. Surely there is a case to be argued the stamp & pushing / shoving were all essentially part of the same incident.

Can I refer you to the above rules? (With the exception of the England Captain Rule)
