Favourite Song Covers

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Luther Vandross - 'If Only FOr One Night'. It was a cover of Brenda Russell's original but was 100 times better. A truly classic love ballad and one of my favourites songs of all time. 8)

Couple of obvious ones, but I'd go for

Jimi Hendrix - All Along The Watch Tower
Johnny Cash - Hurt

"Big in Japan" (an Alphaville song) by Guano Apes back in 2000 I think. Great rocking version of what was a pretty gay song by Alphaville! Check it out if you can. 8)

Fwank and marcangels would know the original well, I'd imagine... :-P

Home now and have found the link

Neil is a good friend of mine and is superb live. He has to do a lot of this type of music to get work but he also gets to do other stuff at times. I've heard both types and he is even better when he does the more edgy stuff.

here he is sodding around and doing one we all know far too well
