Yes people are entitled to their opinion and ultimately that is what a message board is all about BUT when then team put in the performances (results) they have then it will (possibly) comeback and bite you in the arse.

I genuinely find it tottaly amazing the stick some posters give out on this board.

To be fair i give them plenty of credit flying over from Ireland to games (big commitment) but some still give some players dog abuse, i cant get me round it.

In my opinion this squard is giving us a lot to be pround of.

Holly Cow ! One win against a possible top four team and every Muppet breathing thinks we are world beaters -

I come all the way from Cambridge not Ireland. But I have a lot of respect for those who make that effort.

We've - still - won nothing for four and a half years and Wenger - he's our Manager by the way  - has made an aweful lot of errors along the way. Some - indeed many of us - are not that chuffed with his ineptitude and aren't afraid to point it out.

That's what this Board is all about. If you want to spend your time with your snout stuck up Hill -Wood's backside, you need something more visceral than a messageboard. 8)

Rob i try and be polite and you come and post and call me muppet.........and that is what totally winds me up about a large number of posters on this board.

There are a lot of good of posters and i may not agree with everything they post but i don't geneuinely start with those comments.

I've been all over England and Europe following Arsenal since 13 and unfortunately taking many a hiding but never called an Arsenal fan a muppet.

In my book you ain't been going long enough to score and if you were somewhere getting a hiding then tough.

I should add what is a fan all about.

Does it mean following a team who are 10 points clear at the top from Sep onwards.

Sorry i just can't get my head round it.

We all get frustrated but some of the comments aimed at players and AW seem totally over the top.

End of the day i follow Arsenal regardless top. third, fourth, tenth, fifteen etc

I'm sure some 'fan' is about to give me stick..........fine do it........i was there at Walsall home, York away etc

I'll tell you why some of us struggle with this current lot at times shall I? Before I do though, have a look at the Villa thread where you'll see I was fairly positive.

Okay, look at each of our squad members individually. Every single one of them, Eboue included, are capable of putting in some quality performances. Diaby today is an example of that. The problem for a lot of us is that one game in five isn't enough. It needs to be more consistent.
Almunia can be a great shot stopper (fenerbache away), he can command the air well, he can distribute aiding attacks etc. etc. The problem is that he can't seem to do them all in one game! (lately he's struggled to do any of them)

I'm reminded of Nigel Winterburn. Never stood out, never had a mare. You knew what you were going to get week in week out. That is a status that simple cannot be applied to any of this squad with the possible exception of Vermaelen. We all know how good they can be, how they be as good as the second half at Anfield. Too often though they are as shite as the first half at Anfield.
consistency is what we want and the frustration of not getting it is enfuriating. They can all do it, so why fucking don't they??????

I've been following this club for over thirty years. I've always supported them. Part of being a supporter is criticising the weaknesses as well as praising the strengths. Those that are unable to do so are only kidding themselves. In fact, they're depriving themselves of the whole experience of being a football supporter.

As a team I would agree, as individuals I wouldn't. Every game there is one or two that are not at the races. We always seem to be carrying a couple. Today, Arshavin was out of sorts until the substitutions changed his input. Gallas was unusually shaky.
Today was collectively very good. Lt's see what Wednesday brings before we hail the all conquering heroes though!

Spud - I ain't getting carried away, but we are right the mix now.

Imagine if we had lost regardless how we played ALL the doom and gloom merchants would be on it right now slagging the whole set up.

A fair few players i don't rate highly. but to me they ALL seem right at it now.

Looking good to me, real good.

I think it is promising too. I just think we're still a bit short at the moment.
I hope they prove me wrong come May. honestly, nothing would make me happier.

Yeah i would go along with that. Still something missing for me. Even though mathmatically we're right in the mix, i still don't see a title winning team/squad.

Listen i ain't getting carried away, but if you can't enjoy it now then i think honestly i think you need to give up following football.

I can't be bothered arguing the point the point anymore........any fan who has been going more than 15-20 years knows where i am coming from.

The rest of ya carry on moaning.

i don't remember him praising vermaelen or saying song is very good and safe at the back. he doesn't appreciate our business model and what that might mean to the future. a post about dennis bergkamp from augie would probably have "he was not the quickest of players, nor the strongest. his heading was below average and he would simply disappear in certain games, even if to score a wondergoal in the following minutes. he was a little injury prone and came to this club a little too late". would he be wrong? no!!!

so, even if it must be said that he is a negative bastard  i respect augie almost as much as i respect hadareud and i think you should do the same, sir. he is a respect forum member and above all, a true gooner.

and a negative bastard.

The biggest error the kid makes in his original post is the fact that no-one on here is Anti-Arsenal, no-one at all (maybe the Sunderland and Liverpool guys at times) 8) All the criticism is usually aimed at Wenger or HIS players. There's a difference, our club will go on forever, Wenger and the likes of Denilson and Eboue won't.

Fantastic result against Villa, to do that with the poor striking options we have at the moment is superb. Cesc was awesome, Diaby amazing and Song very good. The fact is, we are better placed than we have been for a while because other teams are looking dodgy and WE still have the chance to strengthen further, we MUST take advantage of our current position!!
