The Arsenal in 2010...

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The Arsenal in 2010...

Post by Gooner Dan »

Firstly I know I am well and truely a newbie, but I have been looking at this forum for a long time. I want to point out from the start that I don't have a problem with anyone, and that I know everyone who uses this forum is a Gooner through and through.

The problem I have is that I love my club. I love them to bits. But I can become so frustrated with fellow Gooners who can't see that this team can do the business. Remember 1997/98. It was the first time I remember The Arsenal winning the league. I was 13. While I will always love that side, if we are all honest, strength and depth was something we didn't have in abudance. Yet we won the double that year. I will always remember being pinned to the chalk board at school by my peers the day after we beat Everton at Highbury to win the league. I walked into my registration and smiled. I never said a word, but I didn't need to, the smile said it all.

And back on to the point I am trying to make. I would be described here as a rosetinter, as I believe that AW does very little wrong and I trust him. I get the frustration of some people on here, I really do, but we are The Arsenal and this can be our year. So lets get behind the boys, no matter what. I know I will get stick from certain quarters, but I believe this is our time.

I'd love to see a new keeper, I'd love to see a new stiker on loan to help in RVP's absence, but no matter what, lets get behind the team in the next 6 months. We all want to see a trophy. Lets make sure we give the team all WE can to help them get there. If we are divided in the stands, what does that show our team?

:barscarf: Oh to, Oh to be, Oh to be a, Gooner! :barscarf:

Welcome, Dan. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Nothing wrong with being a rose-tinter.

Anyway, you can't join those miserable "realists". There is a long waiting list for membership. :D

Many people use this forum to let off steam and voice their concerns... doesn't mean they aren't getting 100% behind the team on a matchday, mate

Welcome to the forum, Dan.

Really?

So you can suffer through all of Radfords garbarge in the third person without wanting to jam his face in a vice and keep tightening the handle until he says "Ouch that hurts" not "Radford would like to point out that this stings a bit" ?

 8)

Oh and welcome Dan! Good post, mate. I'm what is termed a realist by some, a pessimist by others. But you should realise that even the most pessimistic (or realistic!! ) posters on here LOVE The Arsenal.

Passionately.

In the end we all want the same thing; an Arsenal team winning trophies and hopefully playing good football.

Don't be afraid to post positive stuff on here - it adds balance and is welcome - but also be prepared to have your viewpoint questioned and disagreed with. It's (usually) nothing personal and it is all about the debate.

And beware the ****. Especially the naked one... :speechless:
