Arshavin couldn't care less.. (see his reaction to the Denilson goal)
arshavin tracked back way more than his striking partner eduardo did and was actually behind all of our attacks when we actually started playing properly in the last 10 minutes. granted, he shouldnt be playing properly only in the last 10 minutes, but that was down to our midfield struggling rather than it bein arshavins fault. our midfield couldnt even string 3 passes properly so how is arshavin supposed to get the ball, let alone do anythign with it?
Mate, Arshavin isn't playing well for two months now. He doesn't seem to want to lead this team, and he needs a Fabregas type of player next to him for him to start putting some work. I think he should grow a pair and start taking more responsibility.

When the match is at parity, why do we have to attack with 9 players? It cost us shit load of goals this season.
because this was a must win game if we were to win the league, and at 1-1 in the 80th minute we needed to send players forward to put pressure on them and get the winner. you cant expect to still be defending with 5 players in that situation. it was a risk that we had to take.
I didn't say to leave 5 players back, I tried to suggest that we souldn't be leaving only Traore by himself there. We are a dream opponent for counter-attacking teams.
Eduardo wasn't involved enough, neither was nasri .
true eduardo wasnt involved but wtf on nasri? he was the ONLY player that created something or actually ran with the ball bar arshavin and diaby. the difference being that nasri was doing it throughout the game, and diaby and arshavin only managed it within the last 10-15 minutes.
I didn't say he was worst than most of the players in our team, most of them had a below average match. Still, I expect a player like Nasri to do more.

I agree with DanielD Arshavin was crap and has been most of the season. Diaby was our best player today. But I disagree about Nasri I thought he played pretty well.

Arshavin is being totally wasted by Wenger and won't be around next season if it continues

Agreed with what u said except with the Arshavin bit. He is not a lone-striker or a winger. Yes he still struggles to get involved more in the game. But this guy is so much talented, I think it's the best talented player in the team. Form is permanent but quality is for good :barscarf: :barscarf:

Traore was rubbish and looked like he was falling apart at the end. Sagna had a quiet word which looked something like "calm the fuck down!".

Scousers' famous "sense of humour" was sadly lacking.... it's hard to have banter with the away fans when you can't understand their fucking accent.

From the equaliser on page whatever to around the time G88ner made his first point about Everton playing well, it makes me wonder how many of YOU were AT THE GAME today?

Its very easy to criticise the players sitting at home in your warm bedrooms/lounges watching the game on your freebee TV channels, or listening to shite commentators spouting their nonsense on Sky/BBC

All i can say is this

1. I was at the game
2. IT WAS FUCKING FREEZING
3. Everton played well above their best
4. Arsenal played against the usual 10 man defence BUT with players who had pace and were not afraid to take a risk
5. Arsenal battled hard, you cannot steam roller every single team at the Ems, and Everton were not gonna lie down after the 1-6 reverse.

Granted Al was awful at times, but seriously guys, its getting really boring reading some of the shite you guys write, i mean when it went 1-2 today the vitroil was pathetic on here....oh how i changes when a goal is scored.
We have tons and tons of pages slagging off the boss, the keeper, the defence, the midfield, the strikers, the board, the stadium etc etc.....why do you bother some of you? Why dont you just fuck off and watch Leyton Orient?

For me, Arsenal were not great today, but today they WON a point in some of the most bizzarre conditions i have seen in a very very long time. A well earned, hard fought point that may go a long way to success this season.

Arshavin is the second striker in the Bergkamp mould. Can you imagine Dennis playing as the lone striker?Wenger needs to buy a striker and put AA in his best position

Bit of an over reaction on here tonight in my opinion...

It seems that people believe that we must and should win every game. Its not possible.

Everton played extremely well today and we just weren't at the races.

Im not saying that this team is without faults. But we haven't suddenly lost all title credentials because of one home draw  We are well within touching distance. Especially with Man u drawing.

This season isn't like previous ones, its alot closer and the top sides are dropping alot more points!

On another note... It was Bloody freezin today!!! 8)

spot on donaldo. it amazes when people slag off arshavin for shite like "not leading the team" or "not doing enough". hes playing as a lone striker against centre backs who to him are giants, and still manages to run rings round them when given half the chance. yet people expect him to both run around the pitch "doing more", yet still be up front to win headers and score goals :?

exactly like you said, its like playing bergkamp in a role which someone like drgoba would play and then slagging him off if he isnt actually delivering all the time. in fact, ive been damn impressed with arshavin playing up front on his own, and has done a hell lot more than eduardo (or even bendtner last season) has in that position who is supposed to be more of a "striker" than him.

we were second to everything today. fellatio was incredibly physical in the midfield and I cannot believe he didn't go in the book at some point.
I thought the ref was poor today. He didn't give us a thing (not that it made a huge difference) and that *word censored* Neville should be taken out by someone soon. I'd never usualy condone breaking someones leg but that fucker deserves it almost as much as his brother.
Overall we were't at the races today and deserved no more than we got (not sure we deserved the draw actually). AW is so close to having a team capable of winning this league. Just one or two good additions this window could do it.

Shame we'll all be wishing he had signed someone come May

What bugs me is not that Wenger won't learn by his mistakes but he's so stuffed on his own pride and myopia that he won't acknowledge that he even made one - or more - in the first place.

Hence the Groundhog Day scenario.

1st-had me ticket, kept check to make sure game going ahead and had eye on clock for time.off to the station for the train(would have arrived at 14.00 hrs the grove)and fuck me revised timetable    i wouldn't have got to the grove till 16.00hrs.That's not all, went home pissed off and the wife tries to be funny(couple of kidney punches sorted her out  )was streaming the game and then me graphics card goes.So not happy.Watched whole game on football 1st.

We didn't play well,we lacked movement and to much of tight passing which allowed everton to close us down.Traore had a shocker but then again didn't get much help from left midfield or denilson,Almunia didn't have much really to do as everton had a lot ball in the 1st half but did fuck all with it IMO but he did flap AT a couple of crosses,no chance with 1st goal ,that was terrible marking, the 2nd he was going down before pienaar hit the ball when he should have stay upright but was excellent to stop a third.Almunia looks like he's low on confidence especially as he wants to get rid of the ball asap instead of sometimes holding on to it.

I think it's the consistency thing again,i don't think everton should have won but overall a draws a fair result as we missed about 2/3 chances 2nd half and everton only had 2(the goal and the save)in the 2nd.I don't think any of the Arsenal players can say there had a good game ,don't know if it's the weather or over confidence sometimes but we didn't use the wings and it was at times to clustered in the middle.CONSISTENCY is the word.

Apparently it was so cold at the Arsenal yesterday, some evertonians were spotted with their hands in their own pockets. :)
