This, if true is nothing short of an insult to every gooner on the fucking planet. Yet I suppose it is proof if ever it was needed that Wenger doesn't have a fucking clue when it comes to defence.
I cannot find the words to express just how fucking angry I am. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

What about the development of the young players Arsene?or has he had a change of policy from youth to aged???

Wengers changed his policy about buying players of a certain age, length of contracts for over 30's(2yr for tweety)and now re-signing ex players
right gooners fingers crossed it might change his policy on spending and actually buy someone we need,...yeah right and this might happen.

Question.

How will fellow Gooners feel if Sol Campbell is the only new arrival in this transfer window??

I know how I'll feel at a time when Arsenal have a decent chance of challenging for the title, two years after a combination of a small squad / injuries cost us the title in 08.

Answer:

Pissed off.

Campbell isn't better than what we have in reserve in the CB position. We are more in need of a holding midfielder to replace Song during the ACN. Vieira wouldn't have been a bad bet on a short term contract until the end of the season even.... :?

It's a back-up signing.

I reckon Wenger has a deal for someone in the summer and needs big Sol to boost the squad.

Besides, if your 2-1 up against Stoke with 10 to go, Big Sol's a decent fella to chuck on to actually head it.

It´s downright ridiculous imo :duh:
He´s too old. There is money available to spend for younger and better players.

I'm wondering whether he's thinking of putting Campbell alongside Gallas and maybe trying Vermaelen as a holding midfielder? He must have been pretty useful in training cos if this backfires, Wenger's gonna have a lot of oeuf on his face.

(please buy a striker)

Dean Windass could probably do a job up front.

I think that those saying this is against his "musn't kill the young players" theory couldn't be more wrong. If anything, it promotes it. Think I'm mad? Think carefully and look at the whole picture.
