If Flamini accepted status and wages of a versatile squad player, I would welcome him back. Struggled to get into AC Milan side and a year before he left, only Birmingham City were interested in him, certainly wouldn't want him as a first teamer here

Idon't think Flamini left for money but i do think it might have something to do with the C/L campaign in 2006 where is did a great job at L/B as Cashley was injured and wenger dropped him for the final and put cole in ,now i would be pissed off if i did a great job and get dropped for the final Also add the reasons g88ner and spudmasher put.

I love to have him back especially as D/M,he mobile and pick out a pass,he late runs into the box and closing down was one of the major parts of 2007/08 season.The only let down is he's shortish.

Flamini left Arsenal for one thing - money.

Yeah Hanny, the ONLY reason anyone would want to join AC Milan is for the money ... we'll just leave aside their status as one of the most prestigious, well decorated, football clubs in World football then, shall we???

And I'm sure the thought of playing at the San Siro every other week isn't a reason either.... nor is the fact he's got Italian blood running through his veins (and NO English blood)...

And yes the contract he was offered by Milan was probably very good (certainly better than Arsenal's late, late offer)

I know his move to Milan hasn't worked out, but having the opportunity to play for AC Milan , and be part of their history (and future) must have been VERY tempting!

Anyway, I'd definately have him back. The lad was a fighter, and always gave 100%!

Fair points but if Flamini thought he would be a first choice over Gattuso, Ambrosini, Seedorf (latterly Beckham) and Pirlo he would be kidding himself.

You would have thought a 24 year old (as he was when he joined Milan) who was on the verge of becoming a regular full international would have sought a move to allow him to play regular first team football.

Yes Milan has a incredible history but my opinion is he moved for money.

Not really. I don't think Hleb would offer anything to us now (is he better than Nasri? Nah). And Henry would be the ultimate short term signing - he isn't nearly the same player he was two years ago.... I'd me massively sceptical if he came back (as I am about Campbell's return)

I dont think he would accept an offer unless he was garenteed 1st team football every week. Which I do not think he would get with Arsenal if everybody was fit.

Yes he played well as back up LB but I cant think of any manager who would not of played his best player available in a CL final.
And one of his weak points was he was unable to help cover the diagnal ball over the midfield which if you look back at the season he played in DM was the way most goals were scored against us. Which is one of Songs strong points if you look at the Everton game the other day that was what they were doing to Troure and why he had a poor game. He did not have the cover from the DM.

I think he was/is a one season wonder at DM, I think that teams would of sussed his weak points out in a second season in that position.
