The Online Gooner Forum - how did you find it ?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The Online Gooner Forum - how did you find it ?

Post by clockendal »

I have been reading and posting (occasionally) on here since the summer of 09...and now have become quite aware of the regulars on here.

I'd like to know how you all came to be on this forum ? I mean we have BG, loads of Oirish lads, Australians, Poles people from all over the place..

I discovered it as been buying the gooner fanzine on and off for 15 years now..so the natural progression was to look at the online gooner, and hence the link to this...but would like to know how you all arrived here :barscarf:

PS: This may have been asked before, apologies if so !

Was looking through the Gooner fanzine after the AC Milan game at the Grove (the infamous 'Catch Us If You Can!' edition, I think??? :? ) and I noticed a reference to the online forum, and thought I'd finally check it out, as I'd been meaning to for ages anyway.

The rest, as they say, is history... (5825 posts, and counting....  )

I was looking for somewhere to vent my frustrations at AW, as my mates had stopped replying to my texts, or taking my calls after games
:D
So that's why you poor bastards are now forced to put up with my insane demented rantings.

a couple of thousand ?

I like your thinking of what a couple is..like if I say to my missus "I'm going for a couple of pints....."5 hours later :D

I was excatly the same!

I believe it was from articules linked on 'newsnow' that I used to read. Knowing it was the match-day fanzine and a popular and long standing magazine checked it out.

Since then I started to read the forum and peoples view and subsquently registered. However, I for some reason (don't quite know why) I stopped reading the articules!

I've still never actually bought the Gooner Fanzine!

I was fuming after the United semi last year where half the stadium left after Ronaldo's frre-kick. Wrote an article that got published in the Online Gooner and I saw the link to here from there.

Great place to vent frustration/air thoughts as I fear my girlfriend would probably have left me after the amount of times I'd come home from games whinging about the Arsenal.

I was looking for gay Irish dwarf porn on the internet (purely for research you understand) and I saw this DB10 character. I clicked the link and that was it, hooked.

Also, first things I noticed were that Number 5 was argumentative, I liked Quartz' posts, and that IHH LIKED WRITING IN CAPITAL LETTERS

Being fairly new to using the technology, I never knew that it was interweb etiquette not to use capitals unless indicating some shouting. I was just trying to distinguish him from ECD - as much for myself as anyone else!!
