In his defence he doesnt go above £50 per game that often and often its below that, but i guess you could say he is a bit out of order raising the price for the higher rated games. I have however, no idea what he charges for the five BIG games. I will be having a long chat with him tomorrow night and explaining what i think, so i will let you know. As for reporting him, well i have thought about it.SPUDMASHER wrote:Personally I think the guy is a fucking disgrace. If he is selling his tickets on for maximum gain then he needs to be reported to the club and have his membership revoked. There are people on that waiting list that would actually use them. I have no issue with people that sometimes cannot attend so they let them on to others. That's fair enough but it seems like it is a business for this chump.
We've all seen the prices on these internet sites for our big home games. £200-£300 is not at all uncommon yet tourists still buy them. You only have to sell them for four games a year and you've covered your cost for the season. The rest is pure profit. It's c**ts like that that are creating the market and subjecting the rest of us to higher ticket prices.
If you don't want to report him then just give me his name, I'll do it
Am i wrong?

Tell him to stuff it mate. My bro sold my Cat B games as a favour for me while I was living in Sydney for 18 months, while I had no problem selling the bigger games. As a thank you I let him use my ticket for free for the United game each season as well as a couple of others I couldn't sell. The least I could do as I'd have had to sell on Ticket Exchange and lose 10% or not sell at all if it wasn't for him finding buyers and ferrying my ticket around London.

Not sure its a tout per say....he did say that he had sold the Man Utd tickets to the guy he sits next too....so he could take his two kids.digger wrote:If he sold them before the season started, they've clearly gone to a tout. Sounds like a bit of a wanker to be honest. I wouldn't bust a gut to sell any of his tickets (unless someone comes to you and says "I'm desperate to see Arsenal vs Stoke, any way you can get me tickets)
Thing is, this fella is not how should i put it......all there. He had a serious incident a few years back that almost saw him lose his life and left him with serious emotional injuries. I actually dont think he knows what he is doing when it comes to selling his ticket, i think he tends to panic and takes the first offer that comes along. Hence the big games he gets asked for and he obliges....its then knowing i will take his Cat B games....i really can say hand on heart he does not do it for profit, but that he just doesnt know what he is doing.

Initally when I read your first post Sammy I thought fcuk him, let him try and sell them himself. But after reading your last post I thinking that this guy is obviously a good mate who you want to look out for. It's a tough one. The guys who are buying the Cat A games at the start of the season are the ones who are taking the piss if you ask me, they seem to see your mate as a soft touch.
If I were you I'd continue on for the rest of the season but maybe have a chat to him, point out that these guys are taking the piss and tell not to sell the Cat A games until closer to the game, say a month before. That way you can approach him and say something like "look, I've got buyers for Stoke, Bolton etc., how about those Utd tickets for me now".

Personally, when I can't make a game I'll pass it on to my pool of mates. I've always sold for face value which the club advertise.
There is a bit of difference between on the price of the cat A & B games in the upper tier. £50 for B and £71 for A.
If he's charging £100? then he's making a bit of money on those!
I've always mentally thought that if I ever couldn't make a cat A game I'd raise the price. However, I've got against this and agreed with a few already that it would be the usual price. (cat B) It's never got to that stage for this simple reason.
The real thing for me is that if we're playing Man U, Chav, Sp*ds or Pool my wife and most of my friends know not to book or arrange anything for that day. If they do I'll tell them to re-arrange.
It's these games that I won't miss for love nor money.
Which is odd as to why he's selling them before the seasons started!?!
